Question:

is it true that this ball doesn't absorb oil

8/14/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball will absorb oil. Part of the hook potential of a bowling balls is it's ability to absorb oil. If a ball is more aggressive then it will absorb more oil most of the time. This was a high performance ball so it will require more maintenance and cleaning than a mid performance or lower performance ball would.

Question:

How does this ball compare to the Code X?

8/20/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Pro-Motion is going to come out-of-the-box with a duller finish than the Code X and it has a slightly stronger coverstock. The Code X had the stronger weight block but I would give the Pro-Motion the edge on being the stronger hooking ball overall.

Question:

How dose pro motion compare to the snap lock

8/22/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Pro-Motion reads much earlier in the midlane to give it a more continuous hook down the lane while the Snap Lock would go longer and have a more angular hook on the backend. Also because of the duller finish the Pro-Motion also handles heavier oil patterns a little better.

Question:

Is the crux prime better then the pro motion. Are those balls better then the intense fire

8/25/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

I would not say that one is better than the other really. The Storm Crux Prime is just a little stronger than the Pro-Motion but they are very close in hook and their reaction on the lanes is also very similar. The Intense Fire was going to read much later than the Pro-Motion. The Intense would be more for backend hook while the Pro-Motion was more for midlane and continuation.

Question:

How does this compare to the Crux Prime ?

9/5/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The weight block on the Crux Prime is a little stronger than the Pro-Motion so it would be just a little stronger. But they are very similar in over hook and reaction.

Question:

How does the pro motion compare to the idol pro

9/8/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Pro-Motion is stronger and will handle more heavier oil conditions. The Idol Pro is more for medium to heavy oil and it would be just a little weaker over all to the Pro-Motion.

Question:

how does the pro motion compare to the Hy Road X

9/9/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The difference here is almost night and day. The Pro-Motion is a high performance ball for heavier oil conditions. It has a duller finish to read more in the mid lanes. The Hy-Road X is a mid performance ball for medium to lighter oil. It is also polished to go later on the lanes with a more angular backend. You may could use the Pro-Motion as your starter ball when the lanes are fresh heavy oil and then by the end of the night when the lanes have dried down a lot you could move to the Hy-Road X .

Question:

Last year I bought new physix ball i used only a few month and I clean the ball starting skid he doesn’t come back... my question is this if you used this doesn’t skid like physix ?

9/18/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Over time the ball may still have some oil that gets trapped in the cover. It may need to have a deeper clean performed by your proshop and also have the surface refinished. The track of the ball can "smooth out" over time too and this will make the ball start going longer on the lanes and sometimes not be able to hook much so you may be able to do this deep clean and refinish on the Physix and get it back working like new without needing a new ball.

Question:

how does the ball compare to the king pin max

10/14/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

They are actually very similar. The Kingpin Max was a little duller at 1000 grit than this ball at 2000 grit so that slight difference could make the Pro-Motion go slightly longer but they both are going to have a smooth arc hook and start in the midlane.

Question:

I have the Storm Code Red. How does the Pro-Motion compare

10/28/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The biggest difference is that the Pro-Motion is a solid cover with a duller finish which is made to read more in the midlanes with a smooth arc hook. The Code Red was polished to go longer and have more of a backend hook.

Question:

Which ball is right for me 130 bowler with straight ball currently have 12# Storm

10/30/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

If you want the ball to go straight then you could get a much less expensive ball that goes straight. This ball is more expensive because it is designed to have a high hook potential. The Storm Ice may be an option to check out here: https://www.bowling.com/products/storm-ice-storm-blue-white.htm

Question:

I am curious on how this ball will work for my daughter. She rolls the ball between 12-14 mph. She plays between the 1st and 2nd arrow. With a fair amount of revs. She is on her high school team and we do see different lane conditions. Any thoughts. Also how many balls are there in Belmo signature series. I know of Pro Motion and the Drive, but not sure of others.

12/9/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The duller finish on this ball will make the ball start to read the lanes earlier. It is designed for heavier oil so if you have an oil pattern that tapers off as you get closer to the gutter then you would have to move in and play more in the middle of the lane. There was also the Storm Timeless which was a Belmo signature ball and those are the only performance balls I know of. He may have a spare ball out there too at one time.

Question:

Would the Pro Motion still be an aggressive ball if I put a 4000 abralon finish on it.

12/15/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, the ball would go a little longer on the lane with a smoother finish but still have most of the same amount of hook.

Question:

How does this ball compare to the Code X

12/17/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Code X has a slightly smoother finish out of the box with a 3000 grit finish but it has a stronger weight block. They will end up have a pretty similar hook potential over all but just a little more length with the Code X.

Question:

Is this Ball better than Snap Lock

1/16/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This has a different reaction than the Snap Lock. The Snap Lock was a pearl with a polished finish so it had a more angular backend hook while the Pro-Motion was a solid with a duller finish so it starts more in the mid lane with a strong arc motion. It just depends on which style you like better or ball suites your needs better.

Question:

How pro motion polished

1/23/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The ball comes out of the box with a duller finish to read the lanes earlier. However, if you add polish to the cover it will make the ball go longer on the lanes and store most of the hook potential for the backend.

Question:

Would this ball be good for a medium speed bowler with a high rev rate??

1/29/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Usually for a medium ball speed and high rev rate you would want to find a ball that gets pretty good length. The Pro Motion was going to start reading in the midlane and it may want to hook or react too early for your speed and rev rate. You could look into the Storm AstroPhysix which gives you much better length but still has a very strong backend hook.

Is this ball is like gravity evolve?!?

11/7/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, both balls are high performance for heavy oil conditions. They both have a solid reactive coverstock with a 2000 grit finish but the weight block on the Pro-Motion reads a little later while the Gravity Evolve reads a little earlier.
