Storm continues the success of the Lock with Snap Lock bowling ball. The Snap Lock combines the R3S pearl reactive coverstock with the proven RAD-X core. This combination works to provide length down the lane to get through the front part of the lane and provide a motion similar to that of the original Lock. The low RG and fast revving core help prevent this pearl ball from getting too skid/flippy.
What I was looking for:
I was looking for the Snap Lock to be smooth rolling through the front part of the lanes. Have an aggressive but not uncontrollable hook on the back end.
What I got after the ball was drilled:
The Snap Lock was amazingly smooth through the front part of the lane. The back end motion was aggressive but very much controllable from multiple angles and multiple patterns.

When I heard about the Snap Lock released I was really excited. I really liked my Lock and wanted a ball that would complement the original Lock. The snap lock does that very clean with heavy mid lane roll. This goes places the lock can't. It's a great fit between the IQ 30 and the lock. This ball had filled a hole in my bag. I drilled both my lock and snap lock with the same layout and can see a big difference between the two. If you're looking for a high performance ball to add to your bag this is a great choice.
A great smooth delivery and is accurate if delivery is correct.
Storm Snap Lock. Drilled mine pin up. As a big fan of the Hype Cell Skid, the Storm Snap Lock will not disappoint. On a fresh house shot I played the track area and the Snap Lock cleared the fronts, read the breakpoint and went through the pins with no deflection. After several games I kept moving left and the ball cornered like I was still playing the straight. For my game, I never ran out of lane. The deeper I got, the stronger the ball was on the backend. A great league shot ball. I've only thrown it on a couple of sport patterns so far. It clears the fronts with ease and has great continuation through the pins. I'll update my review on sport patterns later.
As stated above - Fresh oil - Great hitting power with good carry - After carry down occurs it produces many corner pins that doesn't happen on the fresh
Purchased this ball four months ago. Just had it drilled right before league started. I shot a 714 out of the box. This ball rolls smooth, hits hard and has a consistent roll. I would recommend this to anyone. Iby the way I am considered a crankier with a lot of hand if that helps. :)
Great reaction. Love it
I purchased this ball for my 9 year old son and he loves it, He is already improved his score (new high of 245).
Storm Snap Lock is brand new ( as you are aware ), and its all ready full of gouges and cracks. Talked to storm customer service, and they are trying to place all the blame on the bowling alley, saying "its 100% lane damage". I guess storm only covers damage that occurs when the ball is sitting stationary in a room.
I bowl with my this ball. It stays on the lanes. It hits the pins and knocks them down.
This ball hits harder than my alpha crux and my fight where was this stuff 20 years ago
Ball is clean through the front and hits hard at the backend
I had to drop to a 12lb after an illness and bought the Snap Lock. I've never a ball react like this or should I say not react. The only way this ball hooked is if I was outside with no oil and it hardly ever get into a roll.
