Storm Super Nova

The Storm Super Nova high-performance bowling ball utilizes the powerful Ignition Core. This core was designed for more versatility on a variety of lane conditions. This ball was designed to rev up fast and have a powerful finish with more movement downlane and extra flare potential. The Super Nova is covered with the NeX Solid Reactive coverstock and finished with 2000-grit Abralon. This coverstock helps produce a strong midlane response without sacrificing the powerful entry angle needed to boost pin carry.

Question:

What’s the difference between this and the regular nova

8/20/2022 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Super Nova has a duller finish and solid coverstock which will read earlier on the lane and give the ball a slightly higher hook potential than the original Nova that had a hybrid cover and slightly smoother finish.

Answer:

The Super Nova has the NEX Solid coverstock where the Nova has R2X Hybrid coverstock. The Super Nova will read the lane sooner and will create it's own traction on heavier patterns due to it's stronger coverstock. NeX is currently the strongest cover Storm has to offer, where R2X is near the low end of the mid range covers.

Question:

I’m still new to bowling and trying to find my technique but I’ve noticed I have a slower rev rate and I snap more at the end and late. Would this be a good ball for me to use?

10/16/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball was designed to read earlier on the lanes rather than later on the backend. It will still have good continuation on the backend but if you were needing a ball that has more backend hook later on the lane you may consider the Virtual Energy Blackout or Fate.
