The Track Cyborg bowling ball perfectly fuses the Cyborg Core and QR-7 Hybrid coverstock to create a ball that can target higher scores with robot like precision. This ball is a match for bowlers looking for a strong overall hooking power on medium to heavy oil conditions.
The Track Cyborg is one of the most readable upper-mid performance balls I have thrown to date. I have read this ball to be advertised as a "baby paradox" - and I would agree! We drilled my Cyborg with the pin up and above my middle finger with the CG in my palm aligned with the ring finger and the MB just right of my thumb. What I was expecting was a ball that would store energy through the heads and have a strong snap in the back end. What I wound up with is was a strong mid-lane roll and a more continuous, arcing motion in the back. To me, it rolls VERY similar to my Paradox - but cleaner through the heads. I could easily see using this ball on 39-45' patterns either on fresh oil or as a transition ball if I wanted to play a similar part of the lane as the Paradox when the Paradox is rolling too early.I believe this is an ideal ball for the upcoming fall league season on THS, and will be an asset in my tournament bag on PBA Viper and Chameleon patterns. We waited a while for a new Track release...and this was definitely worth the wait!!!Dave HanTrack Advisory StaffVise Regional Staff
I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this ball. I throw every release from Track and was expecting something completely different then what I got. I drilled this ball and the Track Heat Extreme the same expecting that the Cyborg would be much stronger then the Heat. What I got was a ball that was much longer and smoother then the Heat when drilled the same for me. After adjusting the surface on both to a high polish, the results were the same, the Cyborg was about 2-3 feet longer down the lane before it made its controllable turn. This may be my new benchmark ball. I've heard a lot of comparisons that this is a baby Paradox, in a lot of ways I would have to agree. At the box surface, it has a very similar shape to the Paradox, just 3-4 boards weaker overall.
I have slow to medium ball speed and was looking for a ball that would give me some length on a medium oil pattern with enough movement on the back end to kick out the corner pins but would not over-react or give me inconsistent reaction. I have definitely found that in the Track Cyborg. I had mine drilled pin up and left the surface as is. I love the predictable movement that I get with it and the carry is great. IMO this is would be a great benchmark ball for all ball speeds & rev rates.
I've been throwing the cyborg for about a month now and wow is this ball a perfect fit in my bag! From what I've seen its a ball down from the paradox and legion solid when I want the ball to still see the mid-lane and continue with more pop on the back. For an upper mid price ball I wouldn't recommend any other ball then this new release. That's not just for me. I've gotten the same feedback from the many customers I've drilled the cyborg for. Some after seeing it roll they Purchased another with a different layout looking for another motion. And they found it!! Without a doubt this is one of my favorite releases of all 4 brands since the paradox.
This ball is a perfect fit between my Legion Solid and my Paradox... I love being able to fill that gap!!! Definitely stronger backend than I thought it would have. A must have! Drilled mine pin up... I will have more than 1.
If you loved the Paradox, then you will love the new Track Cyborg. Ball has great motion when it sees friction down lane. The Cyborg is a great step down from the Track Paradox. Great bench mark ball!!!!
This ball fits in just under my paradox on hook. It reads the mid-lane just as strong as my Paradox with slightly less back end hook. I really like that it is a strong ball, but still very forgiving.
The Track Cyborg is exactly what it is advertised as. It's a baby Paradox. I drilled my first one just like my favorite Paradox pearl and it hasn't disappointed at all. Out of the box it was just a few boards overall stronger. I have used it on a variety of patterns and have been please with my reaction on all most everything. The more I throw it the more it is becoming my benchmark ball. This is a must have for anyone looking for a strong middle of the road reaction.Jeff SnufferTrack Staff
The cyborg is truly amazing and a great addition to the Track line. I drilled my cyborg the same as my paradox pin down. The cyborg is very smooth getting down the lane with an aggressive drive to the pocket where my paradox has a lot more mid lane read. This ball fits perfect between my paradox and legion solid. The cyborg is a must have ball and is definitely the first out of my bag!
Read this and I guarantee you will learn something you did not know 15 minutes ago. When reviewing bowling balls we must use them in all their forms. We did our test session in three segments. First the Track Cyborg out of the box, drilled with pin above the finger just like every demo ball you have ever tried. Its the best way to test a ball. Thats why every demo ball is drilled this way. Companies spend thousands of dollars to make there balls drill friendly, simple pin placements. So after you have reviewed the bowler and their release, you can determine the shell of the ball. The Track Cyborg is a wonderful Hybrid shell with a solid type finish. The key to bowling is getting ourselves in a position where we can make the most mistakes and get away with them. We are human "we don't do the same thing everytime, its impossbible". The Track Cyborg shell allows the ball to roll continuosly at every angle. I am a stroker type player with average speed. Out of the box the Track Cyborg hooked a little earlier then I need on an everyday condition. Second we installed a weight hole. Weight holes do not make the ball hook more or less. They will help a ball roll earlier or later. Weights in a ball inhance the shell, they do not over come it. This weight hole was put directly accross from my center of grip and 1 inch up. As with most weight distribution holes this did very little. Remember we only have 60 feet. Not enough time at our level of bowling for physics to take over. Third we changed the shell. Remember there are 6 sides to a bowling ball when yo are changing the surface. This allowed the ball to still roll continuosly but get down the lane a few more feet. Out of the box the Track Cyborg will give you the control with non stop reaction on oil. With a polish same reaction just more length. Over all the Track Cyborg is a very versital ball from mid to oily lanes but not the choice for a dryer condition. P.S. Never left a 7 pin and yes I am left handed.
The cyborg is a great match up of cover and core has a very predictable smooth roll into a continuous backend this is a great ball down from the paradox and is super clean through the heads
Cyborg is amazing! Since I got it a few weeks ago its literally been the only ball I've thrown. It rolls great on every medium-long pattern I've bowled on. (Shark, 2016 USBC Singles/Doubles, Scorpion, etc...). It's a must have for everyone's arsenal.
My layout is pin above the ring finger. Most high end hooking balls I'm not a fan of because they will hit the friction and not go through the pins the right way to carry corner pins. The Cyborg is the exact opposite! To my surprise, this ball has a strong mid lane dig with a predictable strong arc off of the pattern. I am able to use this ball on multiple patterns from the USBC national patterns (box finish) to a typical house shot (4000 Abralon). Very solid high end ball in my opinion!
I can use this ball to go up the boards, play the track, and swing it. I like this ball strait out of the box. I'm getting another one and i'm going to polish it to see what it does on a broken pattern.
Drilled my Cyborg with my standard 50 x 4 3/4 x 50 layout and left it OOB. Ball motion was predictable and smooth on a THS. As I tore up the pattern just bumping left was enough to chase the oil line and keep striking. On misses right it did not over read and usually got back although not always for a strike. ( I sprayed a few, not much practice in the summer so I am not too sharp) Used it later on Alcatraz and had similar success with a ball that gave me a very good read on the pattern and good control in the mids with some good down lane motion. I can't wait to shine it up to see what it can do then.
Wow! Pretty shocked this ball is more aggressive than the Legion Solid, but just under the paradox. Definitely has more of an angular finish on the backend compared to the Paradox. Perfect for heavy oil.
I drill my Cyborg a little stronger then i usually do. I went out of my normal layouts to give me a ball I could move more right with and loop the lanes. This ball gives me that. To me, it a little weaker then a paradox but stronger through the heads and stores more energy then the legion solid. It reads the mid part of the lane pretty well. Its very smooth coming off the spot.my layout was 35x4x55.This layout gives me the smoothness through the front part of the lanes but stores the energy and keeps the pins low.Even after polish the balls still keeps the energy and never burns itself up.
This ball gets through the heads and midlane really clean. It makes a smooth transition on the back end and destroys anything in its path! I would highly recommend this ball.
The Cyborg is a ball that i have been missing in my bag. I think this ball is a little more midlane roll than the Legion Solid but less than the Paradox. This ball is cleaner than the Paradox through the front and a little more angular downlane. This ball is great for me on the typical house shot where I can move left and really open up the lane. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. This much ball at this price point is a steal!!!
The cyborg has a stronger midlane than the Legion Solid. SlightlyLess overall goon than the Paradox. Strong and very predictable.
The Track Cyborg is quickly becoming the first ball out of my bag! The perfect compliment between my Paradox and Legion Solid. Clears the front a little easier than the Paradox and more angular down lane. The cover is stronger than the Legion Solid and allows me to be more aggressive with it. Buy yourself a Cyborg and "bowl like a machine".
I personally didnt like the way the ball rolled on a THS with the box finish, because when it got to the pocket it was real flat even trying different angles...Then I put polish on it and it stored a lot more energy!!! It was like a completely different ball for me...I loved it!!! I haven't had the chance to bowl on any thing heavy with it, but thats where the box finish would have come in handy..
The New Track Cyborg is an amazing addition to the current balls in the Track line. For me The Cyborg fits very well behind the Paradox. Once the pardon has reached a point where it is hooking to much down lane and or also burning up to early in the heads. You can easily take out the Cyborg and destroy the pocket as you start to make the moves in on the lane. The Cyborg is a great ball to start with and finish with in league as well. If you have more speed and less hand this ball will roll great for you. If you have a Legion solid and want a little more ball than this will be the ball for you. In my opinion this ball will fit well with a lot of different varieties of bowlers. This one is available at your local BowlersMart Pro Shop already! This Ball is a Beast!! Cleaner through the front part of the lane and more backend then Paradox. Ball is AMAZING!!
Track has hit another one out of the park.... Strong, smooth down lane motion!
The Track Cyborg very quickly became one of my go to balls. The reaction mine provided was actually different from what I expected yet was more suited to my game as a bowler. The Cyborg is a step down from the Paradox with slightly more length and a more controllable down lane reaction. It pushes through the fronts smoothly and has both recovery and hold depending on the angle you're choosing to play. Go purchase yourself a Cyborg today and "bowl like a machine!"
The Track Cyborg is an excellent addition to the line. Drilled mine with my favorite pin up asymmetric layout with the pin above the bridge and mass bias two inches right of the thumb. Not sure on dual angle numbers since I know this layout is a good benchmark for me. I wanted this ball to bring the gap between my Paradox and a Gamebreaker 2. I loved how aggressive the Paradox is and how clean the GB2 is but I had a big hole inbetween and tried a few options that were not quite what I wanted....until the Cyborg was released. This ball gets through the fronts very clean. At that point, it reads the midlane and makes a very strong motion on the back and continues all the way through the pindeck. This is a true benchmark piece for me and something I can see being in my hands 75% of the time, especially on THS. It is strong enough to throw on fresh and clean enough with enough pop to use when they transition and carry down.
The Cyborg has quickly become my favorite ball. This ball hits harder than any ball I have ever thrown. I had it drilled pin up and with the box finish it was a little angular than I would like so I added a little polish and smoothed it out nicely. this ball is good for bowlers of all styles and many different lane conditions. Track has hit a Home run with the Cyborg.
Ball: CyborgLayout: 80 x 5 x 45 - Pin above bridgeSurface: 2000 AbralonBowler specsRev Rate: 335 RPMBall Speed: 15 MPHPap: 5-3/8 - 1-1/8 UPCommentsI drilled the Cyborg pin up with the mass bias in the thumb area to hopefully get some additional continuation on the backend that I haven't been seeing on my regular pin up drillings. This is working out just fine as I am leaving fewer flat 10's. I also changed the surface to 2000 to do a comparison to the Heat X-Treme. The Cyborg is a couple of boards weaker than the Heat X-Treme so it will be as easy switch between balls. Another good one from Track. Thank you TrackDan Paul
Being a long time bowler I've often been skeptic of higher end pieces of equipment but the Cyborg has totally changed that for me. I totally love the Legion Solid and this is slightly stronger and a little later down lane for me. It can come into play on multiple patterns and lane conditions which I've never really been able to say for upper mid performance level products. If you are looker for a stronger versatile ball for the rest of the summer and the upcoming winter season then the Cyborg is def the ball of choice.
Drilled my Cyborg 60 x 4 1/2 x 40. I left the surface OOB and found the Cyborg to be a very readable ball. It didn't over skid in the oil, and it didn't overreact off the dry. I like a ball that blends out the oil pattern, and the Cyborg definitely does that. It got through the heads clean, started to pick up in the mids, and had a strong finish without being snappy. As compared to the Paradox with the same drilling and surface, it gave me a little more length and stronger backend reaction. The Paradox is a special ball, and Track has come up with another winner with the Cyborg.Steve MartinTrack Amateur StaffVise Amateur Staff
This ball has quickly become one of my all time favorite balls and first out of my bag. It is more versatile and more angular down lane than the Legion Solid. It allows me to open up my angles and trust the ball will make it back with enough to carry like a champ. Cant say enough good things about this ball.
The Cyborg is a true benchmark ball. Its consistent and controlled reaction allows you to use it on the fresh conditions but also thru transition to help you to make educated decisions on whether to continue making adjustments with it or simply switch balls. I have my Cyborg drilled pin down and it does a great job of being aggressive and helping break down the lane, while conserving enough energy to read the break-point and have a strong continuous reaction thru the pins.
I have drilled 2 Cyborgs now and all I can say is Wow!! This is a motion that I have not seen in quite a while. I have been able to use this ball on anything from THS to a 47 foot Scorpion pattern. This ball is clean thru the heads and predictably strong at the breakpoint. If you are looking for that new benchmark ball, go get yourself a Cyborg, you wont be disappointed...
The Cyborg is an amazing ball and is a great addition to the Track line. Because the way it reads the lane for me the Cyborg has quickly become my benchmark ball. For me the Cyborg reads the midland sooner and finishes smooth & strong which makes it a very controllable ball. i have this ball drilled with the pin above my ring finger which allows it to get through the heads cleaner than the Paradox and lets it read the lane sooner than the Legion Solid. Don't delay in getting this ball as it will become your favorite also.
I drilled the cyborg pin above ring finger, standard 5in layout. Smooth rolling motion, controlled roll off the back of the pattern. Cyborg fits perfect between the legend solid and paradox. If your looking for a strong ball in the mid-lane with a smooth arc and continuing motion through the pins this is the ball for you.. Great bang for the buck!!
The Legion Solid is one of my favorite balls and the first out of my bag and the Paradox was the first HP ball I could use more on a regular basis. The Cyborg is a mix of both of those covers. It's a new core in the UMP level as well. I punched mine up with my standard drilling(60x5.5x35) which puts the pin above and slightly right of my bridge and the MB close to the thumb. It is a great mix of the Legion Solid and Paradox. For me I saw the ball pick up in the midlane but still has good length and a lot more backend motion than both the Legion Solid and Paradox. It is a great step down from your Paradox but still stronger than the Legion Solid. It is replacing my LS as my benchmark ball as the first one out of my bag. This is definitely a must have for everyone.
Personally I loved both the paradox and the legion solid as they both gave me very predictable motions. The only problem I ran into with the paradox is that it was a little too strong at times, and then the legion solid was not quite enough. Track solved that problem with the Cyborg. The Cyborg clears the fronts a little cleaner than the paradox for me, but still has a great motion on the back that gets through the pins very well. For me it fits right in between the legion solid and paradox and does a great job at blending out patterns. I think this ball is must have in any bag whether you are a league bowler or tournament player as it is so extremely versatile. This ball will be in my league and tournament bag for a long time!
The Cyborg has been extremely effective in helping blend out the lane. This ball allows me to be clean through the front part of the lane while allowing me to maintain a smooth, controllable, midlane reaction. If you are looking for a ball that you can start out with and maintain reaction through most of the block, then this is your ball.
I have the Cyborg drilled with the ring finger through the pin. What I got was a smooth rolling ball with a strong continuous backend. It gets through the heads cleanly and finishes with a strong arc motion. For me the Cyborg rolls even smoother than the X-treme heat. I would definitely place this ball ahead of the Legion Solid and just below the Paradox. I just recently used a 1000 Abralon pad on the Cyborg and I had the same reaction with it as I did with the out of box surface, it just made it a little stronger which is what I needed on the pattern (41 ft. Beaten Path) that I was bowling on. This is a ball everyone should have in their arsenal.
Over the past month I was able to throw the Cyborg on several different patterns, and was impressed with all of my reactions! It began with shining the cover stock, as I have very low ball speed, and throwing it on a typical house pattern. After liking what I saw out of the initial reaction, I brought it with me to the Rochester PWBA stop where I had a great reaction on a tricky 37 foot pattern. The ball cleared the front through the last 10 games, allowing me to just continue moving left with my feet and target, and it never lost energy down lane. Next up was a long 'PBA Shark' pattern where I took the cover down to 500 and was able to get the ball to read early enough and to go through the pins the right way. This ball continues to impress me with the various patterns I have used it on!
This ball is a perfect compliment to the Paradox and Legion and fits perfectly between the two. It definitely is a little more controlled than the Paradox while still being strong enough for a low-rev bowler like myself to get to the pocket with ease. This is definitely a go-to ball for any condition.
I needed to fill a void in my arsenal that was in between my Paradox and the Legion Solid. THIS BALL IS IT!!!! I drilled the Cyborg 40x5x40, which gives me a little smoother, continuous motion on any and all conditions!! From typical house shots to heavy oiled sport shots. It gets through the fronts with ease, along with a strong continuous motion throughout the pin deck! This is a GREAT benchmark ball for anyone!! If you don't have one, GET ONE!! You won't be disappointed!!
The new CYBORG is as advertised "baby Paradox". CYBORG is definitely my benchmark ball and excels on med to med oil lane conditions. I used mine at the regional in St. Charles, MO on Chameleon and led qualifying by almost 100 pins. Mine is very clean through the fronts with a very strong controllable backend. If you are a Track fan or thinking about trying one of their products, well then it's time to BOWL LIKE A MACHINE with the new CYBORG!Steven TaylorTrack Advisory staff member
Drilled 40 x 4.5" x 60 Pin under ring finger weight hole 5" over OOB surfaceThe Track Cyborg is Tracks newest Upper mid price ball, with the new asymmetric Cyborg core and the QR-7 Hybrid coverstock. Instead of a standard solid/pearl mix hybrid, this cover is a blend of the Paradox QR-9 Hybrid cover along with the Legion solid MR-6 solid cover. The results are a new ball that is perfect for when the Paradox is too much ball and the Legion Solid is not enough. I have used my Cyborg on both typical house patterns, along with a 39' and 44' sport pattern. The main thing that jumps out at me is the continuation on the backend with this ball, it does not stop. Able to play just inside the track on a house pattern and feed the ball to the dry, the ball picks up strong in the midlane and has a strong (not flippy) continuation on the back that have not had before in my bag. On the 39' sport pattern I was able to play just inside 2nd arrow out to around 6-7 at the breakpoint, and again, the ball exited the pattern strong and continuous on the backend. On the 44' sport pattern I was able to play fairly straight around 9-10 to start and as I opened the pattern up, I was able to move my feet deeper and get in around 3rd arrow, still using 9-10 as a breakpoint and the ball still had plenty of recovery and hit. Overall, this ball for me is about 2-3 boards stronger than my Legion Solid, and about 2-3 boards weaker than my Paradox. Perfect for fresh house patterns and sport patterns that have medium/long length as well as high volumes of oil. Looking forward to drilling a second Cyborg with a pin up layout to get a little more length and similar strong backend to compliment my Pin down Cyborg.
The Cyborg is that ball you might want to put down but you CAN'T because you just want to see it again and AGAIN! So far that is me and I have been able to bowl on a variety of patterns from house patterns to sport patterns and I really like what I see. The reaction is smooth, it can and will show you that strong and or stronger move to the pocket. The finish is what impresses me the most. I thought it was just that new ball hitting power nope it just enjoys destroying the pins every chance it gets. Box surface, Lane Polish, and Polished the ball reaction was excellent and the finish got better and BETTER! No matter the type of bowler you are the Cyborg reaction you should want to see, and the finish you should want to feel for yourself. I have never boxed before so if there is a 1-2-3 combo the Cyborg falls right in line with the ball above (Paradox Pearl) and the ball below (Legion Solid). Cyborg (Box surface, Lane polish, and Power House Factory Finish Polish) - Pin above and to the right of the ring finger CG swung out toward the right of the x-hole on my mid line positive axis point is 4 3/8 right 1/2 up.
The Track Cyborg is one of the most versatile balls. I drilled my Cyborg with the pin above the fingers to give me more reaction on the back end. I threw it at the Striking Against Breast Cancer Mixed Doubles in Houston on a demanding pattern with low scoring and I was able to use it for the 8 game block. On fresh lanes, it gave me the strong back end reaction and as the lanes broke down, I moved left so I could get the ball going right and it had continuous energy back to the pocket. You can adjust the surface to meet your needs, but I used mine out of the box. I highly recommend the Cyborg if you're looking for a ball you can move across the lanes with.
When you think of the first ball out of your bag every time you bowl, you think of something on the stronger side of the scale, smooth enough to give you the right read and something you can count on to go through the pins the right way. I've found all of those things to be true with the Cyborg. If you have drilled any of the recent Track releases you are familiar with how aggressive the Paradox is and how smooth the Legion Solid is. If you blend those two ideas together you get the Cyborg. Strong and smooth and the perfect ball to get your tournament session or league night going.
This ball gives me a strong midlane and a controllable backend. Great ball right under the Paradox.
This ball is generally the first ball out of the bag for me. I've drilled two of them already. One I left at box finish and is great on the fresh. The second one I polished and is a beast when the lanes start to open up
The Track Cyborg is the most versatile strong ball you will throw this year. The Cyborg rolls about 4 to 5 boards more down lane than The Legion Solid, making them a great, strong 1/2 punch. Get one today, or 2 or 3!
The Cyborg is a great addition to the Track line. This ball is a good step down from the Paradox series and will be a great benchmark ball for alot of different styles.I drilled mine pin up over bridge and added polish, very clean through the heads with predictable midlane and strong backend.
This is the combination of tunable surface, and performance I've been looking for, as well as the specs that are perfect for a wide variety of bowlers. I've been waiting for another ball from Track that I can carry more than one of, and this is it. My shiny one is the first ball I pull out of my bag, especially on THS. Often times with the strong equipment of today, shiny stuff can get a little squirty, but not the Cyborg. I have an out of box finish that I can go to as a step down from, or before the Paradox. I love the cyborg, and it simply the perfect fit between my Paradox and Heat. Loving that I don't have to look outside of Track for the perfect line up anymore.
The Cyborg features the all new Cyborg Core which reduces the effect of drilling the holes on the overall dynamic capabilities of the core. This is surrounded by the QR-7 Hybrid coverstock, which is similar to the covers used on the Paradox line. This cover is perfect for those looking for strong overall hooking power on medium to heavy oil patterns. Offering the perfect fusion of core and coverstock technology, Bowlers will see a strong, even roll on medium-heavy conditions.Track Cyborg another great ball in the Track line. The roll in the front is smooth but the backend is Strong.Cyborg is very smooth threw out the full range of Skid,Hook and Roll. This makes for ease of adjustment with confidence. The Track Cyborg supreme performance.BOWL LIKE A MACHINE.!!!!!!!!
The Cyborg is great addition to Track line. I am a slower/high rev player where Paradox usually started to bleed energy to quick on quite a few patterns and carry becomes an issue. The addition of the Cyborg gives me that ball when I feel like the jump to the Legion Solid is too large in some cases
The Cyborg is a great addition to the Track line and for me it fills the gap between the Paradox and Legion Solid. The Paradox is a great fresh condition ball but becomes too strong after a game or two. The Legion Solid for me is often not a strong enough ball for the first transition. The Cyborg fills that gap for me. It is enough ball to read the mid lanes but also continuous through the pins really well.Find a ball demo in your area and try the Cyborg, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by how good it rolls.
The Cyborg is a great new addition to Track's line up and my arsenal as well. All new core and cover combination makes this ball very predictable and versatile. I am able to use this ball on fresh patterns with more surface because it reads the mid-lane very well and gives me a smooth overall motion. However, most of the times I use the Cyborg when I need to open the lane up just a little bit and when I have a defined hook spot. It stores enough energy and goes through the pins very well. Definitely carrying this ball in my bag to every tournament I will go to. Layout: 60 x 5 x 40
I drilled my Cyborg pin down to match a paradox. They are very complimentary of each other, allowing me to stay in the same area and either ball up with the Cyborg or ball down with the Paradox. I like that the Cyborg is not just an uncontrollable monster. It gets through the heads pretty smooth, it has less mid lane than the Paradox but makes up for it in the back. Bottom line: another winner from Track!
Drilled my Cyborg with a control layout and got exactly that. I spend allot of time bowling on tournament conditions and having the right equipment is very important. With the cyborg i filled a gap between my paradox and legion solid. The cyborg creates and exceptional amount of entry angle while still reading the mid lane extremely well. Cant wait to pull this ball out in the upcoming tournament season.
With the success of the Paradox, I found it hard to shy away from this ball. I drilled a couple of Paradoxes and I sometimes struggled to get them through the front part of the lane. When they were slick, I could throw them, but if there was any friction in the fronts it liked to hook early. With that being said, on the fresh on sport patterns I threw the Paradox a lot. I also saw a lot of Paradoxes going down the lane early in college tournaments. The Cyborg is an excellent compliment to the Paradox. For me, it clears the fronts easier, but still gives that great midlane reaction that everybody has loved out of the Paradox. I have been able to get the Cyborg to go through the pins when playing all over the lane. I see this ball staying in my arsenal for a long time, and I look forward to drilling multiple of them to see what else I can get this ball do to. I could easily see this ball also being a late in the day ball if you were to do a specific layout and maybe some polish. Very versatile and I would recommend this ball to bowlers of all styles.
I drilled this ball with a Rico layout and out of the box finish to compete with heavy oil up front and making sure I didn't miss the midlane. With the ball characteristics already on the stronger side of the scales, I knew this layout would help me achieve that. This ball and layout did not disappoint. With heavy oil up front, this ball has no trouble saving energy for the transition. The Cyborg is "vicious" in the pocket. The shape down lane is strong and predictable. On a Typical House Shot(THS) this layout seems to labor a little too much in the fronts to get downlane without a little extra tilt. If you have trouble getting a ball to read the midlane and still want a ball with good shape this ball and layout can bring the pocket to you. It's time to start bowling like a machine. Excellent Ball! 4 1/2 inch pin down... Much stronger than my mirror drilled Legion Solid! Can't wait to see what it does as the fall league and tournament season gets started!
Love the motion and continuation out of this ball. Definitely not as strong as my paradox but it is stronger than my legion. Track definitely filled a gap with this ball love it fixing to order a couple of more and drill them a little different a great ball for all styles.
I have drilled mine 30x6x50. No weight hole. This ball is phenomenal. Track took the best parts or the original Paradox and the Legion Solid paired with a new core makes this a beast. I went with layout to provide more length than I had with the others to create more angle downlane. This is what I got and the ball goes thru the pins very well. I have used this ball on all pattetns so far. From house shots to Cheetah all the way up to Badger. I could use this ball on all of them. If you like the Paradox or the Legion Solid this is a must have.
I haven't thrown this ball very many times as of now but I can see it becoming one of my favorites. It gets through the heads very clean with a strong mid lane roll and great continuation through the pins. The carry is very good! I'm anxious to throw it more and can see this ball potentially becoming my benchmark ball. I'd say this is one you want to have in your bag with winter leagues starting soon.
Another Home run! Great compliment to the Paradox. Clears heads wonderfully, good read in the midlane with strong continuation on the back end. Drill the same to use the two balls too compliment each other or place your favorite pattern. Do not hesitate if considering this piece to your arsenal!!!
The Track Cyborg is definitely a great ball to have in the bag when you come across some oil. My bowling style consists of soft speed, soft hand and high axis rotation making balls with lower differentials jump more off the end of the pattern. So for me this ball reads the midlane and makes a hard move when it hits friction with strong continuation through the pins. With the 3000 out of box finish this is the most aggressive ball out of the entire EBI current lineup for me right now!My PAP - 5 5/8" -> 1" ^Layout - 70 x 5 ¼ x 35 (pin above bridge)
The all new Track Cyborg is a great step down from the Paradox when it gets too strong to keep in the pocket. It allows you to play the same part of the lane while getting through the heads extremely clean. When it gets to the mid lane the ball starts to pick up and it stores plenty of energy to drive through the pins. This is also a great benchmark ball to have to get a quick read of the lanes with it being so predictable. A must have for any condition you bowl on.
I was very excited to get my hands on the Cyborg. I bowl on many difficult patterns a long with my local league. I've been a huge fan of the paradox but often find that during transition I need a ball to clear the heads and still have enough pop to carry. My paradox pearl would help with this but still wasn't enough. I was looking for something more. The Cyborg fit the bill. Instead of throwing it out of the box I brought it down to 500 and hit with polish. It was clean through the heads but wasn't making the corner. As I brought it down in surface I notice a big difference in reaction. I finally ended with 2k and the Cyborg is a perfect fit in my arsenal. It is a must have.
This ball has become my go to regardless of the type of condition. The Cyborg is VERY clean through the front/mid part of the lane and very predictable all the way through the pins. It stores energy to really go through the pins with force. I find this ball to fall right in to my arsenal between the Leigon Solid and the Paradox. The back end reaction is very similar to the Paradox, strong and continuous. My favorite aspect of this ball is that I have more control of it with my hand, whether I need to get around the ball or start it sooner, than I do with my paradox. I have have left it out of box with a simple pin up layout and I couldn't be happier with my decision.
IF YOU ARE A FAN OF THE LEGION SOLID AND PARADOX THEN YOU DEFINITELY WANT TO ADD THIS BALL TO YOUR ARSENAL..SMOOTH MID LANE REACTION WITH AN AGGRESSIVE BACKEND DRIVE..THIS BALL RECOVERS FROM ALL SORTS OF ANGLES TO THE POCKET KEEPS ON MOVING AND NEVER QUITS!
The Cyborg is a great compliment to the Paradox. The motion is slightly straighter or squarer than the Paradox but still carries that strong continuous roll. I am a high rev rate (high 500's) and ball speed (18.5+) bowler. This a great ball for a typical house shot as well as a sport pattern with heavier volume that requires bowlers to play straighter.
For me the Cyborg is a great step down from the Paradox Line, it is a little cleaner through the front's and mid's and more continuous down lane. This is a great ball for many different bowling styles. The further I move left with this ball the harder it comes off the spot. There is a reason we call this ball the "Baby Paradox". It is a must have in your bag.
The Cyborg gives me the roll that I need in heavier conditions. But when on more of a house shot if I need it to bounce off the friction it has no problem creating angle down lane.
I recently drilled my Cyborg, did not do anything fancy with the layout. Just your basic strong drilling. For me this ball flares a great deal. I tested it on a house shot along side my Paradox and discovered that it has the same great mid-lane as the Paradox but much more late movement. This ball will be ideal for when the Paradox starts to burn up and I need to go around it a bit more, while seeking more recovery that it delivers. Can't wait to throw it on some tighter patterns. This one is a must have for all the Track fans out there. Jeff Jensen
The track cyborg is awsome i cany belive how the cyborg clears the front part if the lane for a ball with surface on it its a must have in the bag its reminds me of a stronger version of the legion solid.
The Cyborg is another great release from Track. I love using the Paradox, Paradox Pearl, and the Legion Solid in both league and tournaments. The Cyborg fills the hole between the Paradox and the Legion Solid and is a transition ball when you are looking for a smooth motion down the lane when the Paradox is too much or the Legion Solid keeps leaving corner pins. I recommend this ball to every bowler.
I have a higher then normal rev rate, so I struggle with a-syms and covers being too much ball, too quick. This ball is not that. With its blend of the Paradox and Legion Solid covers, I am able to keep it in my hand for alot later in a league shift. I have noticed the Cyborg is not so quick to burn up the heads like alot of other balls with surface.
This ball is ABSOLUTELY amazing! It is typically what I start with, and helps me understand where I need to go from there. Whether it is go to the Paradox or Legion. It allows a player to get a good read in the mid lane as well as creating angles off of friction if need be.
This ball gives the predictable and continuous reaction than can give you the endless potential to score well on a number of conditions. Drilled pin-up (lack of oil in my area). will be drilling a pin down for tournaments.
I love the way this ball goes thru the pins. Great step up when the legion solid is not enough. Drilled mine with the pin up and to the right of the ring finger. Very usable on typical house patterns.
This ball is a great addition to the competitive/recreational bowler's arsenal. This Cyborg gives great motion through the heads and down lane. Also, this ball is very versatile in regards to using it in the early, middle, and late parts of the day. The surface is great for medium/heavy oil, however, I have seen many people add polish to this ball and use it later in the day. Overall, another great addition to the Track line of bowling balls.
The overall hook of this all is quite strong. It rolls similar to the paradox, but cleaner through the fronts, great to use once the Paraodx is out of play. It is very readable which makes it useable on fresh, but I have used it more to open up the lanedue to its strong and continuous downlane motion.
The Cyborg is great for the fresh oil patterns. It reads the lane just the way you would want it. Sees the oil early enough and starts to pick up motion to go left. The more right you are the more the ball matched up for me. When moving left with the ball loses some energy and that usually causes for a ball change. Great ball for the 3-4 games!! ????????
The Cyborg for me is a great ball because of its smooth transition through the front part of the lane and its very responsive back end. For me this ball struggles on longer patterns when they are fresh, but after a couple games, when there is more friction out there it's a great ball to switch to. It has no problem getting down the lane and has a very impressive backend motion. The Cyborg for me definitely has to be able to find friction down lane before it comes out of my bag.
