- Description: Retro cores and strong reactive coverstocks have always defined the Avalanche series from Brunswick. Using proven core technology and high quality coverstocks, the Avalanche delivers unprecedented value to the bowling customer.
Core: All Avalanche balls use the acclaimed light bulb core initially used in the Teal Rhino Pro®. The light bulb core and its Danger Zone® modification were at the heart of two of the most successful balls of all time.
Coverstock: The Avalanche Slide uses the brand new PowrKoil XD Reactive coverstock which has been specifically designed to provide extra distance (XD) through the heads when compared to the traditional PowrKoil coverstock. Combined with the light bulb core, the PowrKoil XD coverstock of the Avalanche Slide gets cleanly through the heads, even on broken down lane conditions, while maintaining the strong back-end reaction necessary to bury the pins in the pit.

This is my go to ball By Jumping Joel from Houston, TX

Unverified Pros:Flawless Surface, Attractive Design Best Uses:Tournaments, Local Bowling Alley Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend This is my go to ball when the lanes are broken down. Not really hard hitting but very predictable. It doesn't need a "macho hook" to get all 10 pins in the pit but very reliable when I go direct to the pocket. Mine was drilled with the pin on top of my niddle finger (I saw Chris Barnes, Tony Reyes with the same layout). one of my bowling friends joke around with me that my ball was drilled for a lefty that is why it doesn't hit right. I proved him wrong the following week beating him in our practice games, after that he stopped giving comments! I like this ball and I am going with it again and again! Won some sweepers and tournaments with it too! Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.
