Blown Away! By J.T. from Fort Worth, Texas
Reviewed on: 2/8/2010
Verified Reviewer Pros:Rediculous pin action, Strong hook, controlability Cons:USBC White Pattern, Less error forgiveness, Dry lanes, Short oil patterns Best Uses:USBC Red Pattern, USBC Blue pattern, Longer oil patterns, Oily or wet patterns Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I needed a ball for oily lanes so I had the local pro shop drill it for max hook for my rev rate. I am a 210 ave bowler. Shot 226 out the box with 2 opens trying the ball in several areas of the lane. Wow, what a hook! Used it in a Tournament 2 weeks ago, and had a 278 and 279 game with it, USBC Red Pattern. I have averaged 680 on the USBC Blue Pattern, but had some difficulties with it on the USBC White Pattern. I was really not expecting it to snap the way it does, but Oh My God, it's insane! Players I have been bowling with even commented on how hard it hits the pocket. The ball gives me 35 boards of rounded curve when I come around the ball, or 20-25 boards of backend snap when I let the fingers do the work. Very smooth ball. I'm a stroker with Tweener tendencies. i can only imagine what a power player or cranker can do with this ball. One dissatisfactory comment. If your used to getting a few boards of leinancy with your other balls on a house shot, this ball is not for you. Accuracy and break point are key, as the ball breaks sharply, inside your mark tends to wash out the left and outside of your mark has a tendency to leave you with a split. For players used to sport shots, this ball is for the Scorpion and Shark patterns. For house shot league bowlers, this is your first ball or most hooking ball, before you move down to your medium hooking balls. I will try and get a video up on here or youtube.
