just wonderful
The Tour V1 is a great ball for a more high speed low rev bowler. This ball will give you a great understanding of the lane and yourself.

Hammer Tour V1 - Ready for any pattern
The new Hammer Widow V1 tour with the Gas Mask Core without the Puck has made this widow predictable off the breakpoint yet controllable. With the Hybrid Reactive Hk22 - Aggression Hybrid cover this ball has a smooth reaction on the friction and through the heads without loosing any of the legendary widow hit! This ball will be useable on all patterns and will be a great tournament arsenal addition.

Asymmetric that rolls like a high end Symmetric
This ball is flat out amazing. A Widow that isn't super flippy like the Hybrid 2.0 even though it has the same cover as the 2.0 Hybrid or as strong down lane as the Mania - No, this ball is an Asymmetric that rolls like a stronger Effect Tour or another strong Symmetrical while still maintaining angle down lane. Check this ball in your bag. You gonna like it!

Smooth
great addition to the bag! Has plenty of length with a nice strong finish. Out of the box I could play down the track or deep inside with a simple hand position change. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to play multiple parts of the lane.

Hammer Widow Tour V1
Here is my take on the new Hammer Widow Tour V1. The Widow Tour has a modified asymmetric Gas Mask core (Widow Gas Mask Low Diff Core... basically the Gas Mask core without the flip block on top) wrapped by the same coverstock used on the Widow 2.0 Hybrid, HK-22 Aggression Hybrid. The color is black/blue/purple and box finish is 3000 Siaair. The Widow Tour used in the video has a 45 x 4 3/4 x 25 layout and is thrown at box surface. Since being originally released in 2006, Hammer has yet to make a Widow I didn't like. Couple that with the fact that I generally love "tour edition" equipment and thus, when this ball was first announced, I was very eager to give it a try. To my eye, the Widow Tour V1 shows a clean yet very controlled motion down the lane. Let me try and give a little different way to explain it. In the last 3 years, Hammer has released 3 of my favorite "tour edition" balls, the Envy Tour, Effect Tour and now this Hammer Widow Tour V1. To interrelate the 3 of them from what I've seen, the Envy Tour was the earliest and smoothest, the Effect Tour felt like it has a little more shape to it than the Envy Tour and the Hammer Widow Tour V1 is the cleanest of the 3 but still with that smoother type of shape off the spot. That's probably the best way to interrelate the 3 most recent Hammer Tour Edition pieces. I see this ball being at its best on medium volume fresh patterns of a variety of distances where control of the lane is key. I believe also this ball will be in play for a variety of rev rates, speeds, styles etc. I know I will be drilling more of these in the not too distant future! The Widow Tour V1 releases officially on the 18th. See your pro shop for more information.

Customer Questions & Answers | Reviews
Question:
does the core change at 12 lbs?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The 12lb ball does have a modified core to accommodate the lighter weight.
Question:
For physical reasons I had to go down to a 12 lb ball. I throw a back up ball that hooks. I need a hard hitting ball. Right now mymy ball speed is 12-13. Would this be a good choice for me.
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Absolutely! The Hammer Black Widow Tour V1 offers strong backend continuation and a solid reactive coverstock that helps preserve energy, which can help you get that harder hit you want at 12-13 mph.
Question:
Does this ball have more or less hook then a black widow 3?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Hammer Black Widow 3.0 Solid is best for medium to heavy oil with a higher hook potential than the Hammer Black Widow Tour V1.
Question:
Is it a sym or an asym ball
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Hello! The Gas Mask Low Diff core is asymmetric.
Question:
How does the hammer tour vi compare to the hammer manis
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Hammer has the FCC rating to help give you a good comparison based on the strength of the Finish, Core, and Coverstock. The Tour V1 FCC is Total-24.5, Finish-8.5, Core-6.25, Cover-9.75 and the Mania FCC is Total-27, Finish-7.75, Core-8.75, Cover-10.5 . So this indicates the Mania has a slightly higher overall hook because of a stronger core and coverstock.
