Buy Your Own AlleyIn the Ferrysburg, Michigan at their bowling alley and restaurant you will soon be able to buy anything that catches your eye, even the alleys themselves will be up for grabs.

In 1979 the place was opened for busines and held it's own until it was foreclosed on in 2010.  Now because of the foreclosure all of the items that remain in the bowling alley whether they be shoes, bowling equipment, items from the bar and kitchen or anything else inside the alley it will be going to auction.

The auction itself will take place Tuesday.  It will be held online via Orbitbid.com.

"We're selling the 24 lanes, the ball returns, the pin setters, the pins - everything," said Steve Morse, of Orbitbid.com. "99 percent of the time we sell everything."

If you think that you might be interested in anything that the alley has to offer you can pre-bid on items.  If you choose not to pre-bid the auction will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday and items will come to a close between 6-8 p.m.

The alleys are made of wood not synthetic and Morse said, "bidders make furniture out of them a lot of times, countertops and tables."

The beer mirrors, like the one below, that the alley houses have already been drawing some interest Morse has said.

There is one thing that needs to be kept in mind if you are planning on bidding on any of the items in the auction on Tuesday and that is you have to remove the items within three days of the purchase yourself.

"So if you're buying a pair of lanes for grandpa's barn, you've got to be ready to come in here and take them out almost immediately because it's going to take some time and some effort," Morse said. "They have to bring their own tools and their own people to lift stuff."

So if you've got the time and you're close enough to Ferrysburg, Michigan to take some of this alley home with you, It's definitely worth your time.  Again the auction will begin Tuesday at 8 a.m. so if you're looking to build your own alleys from pieces of an old alley you might be in luck.
