The combination of the powerful Shape Lockâ„¢ HD Core and the gripping power of R2Xâ„¢ coverstock create a very versatile ball which suits multiple styles and games on those medium to heavy volume patterns.
Coverstock Enhancements: Wider Footprint - Increased surface friction allows the bowling ball to roll on the heaviest oil, consistent repeatable performance, ensures a more consistent break point on the longer oil patterns, and increased entry angle to the pocket. Synchronized Porosity - Regulating oil absorption increases longevity, easily maintained, maintains the surface profile longer than other reactive coverstocks.
Shape Lockâ„¢ HD: Core Density - Denser core develops earlier ball roll and less deflection through the pin deck. Core Shape - Revs up quicker and quicker revs help bowlers manage a constant break point.
Strong Mass Bias - Allows for fine tuning ball reaction, creates a powerful steering arm, and very fast spin time.

Verified Reviewer Pros:Comfortable Grip, Attractive Design, Great Weight Best Uses:Tournaments, Local Bowling Alley Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend This ball is a beast. League night, on your standard house shot, 246,247,and 248 for a 741 total. Play outside and going up between 5-10, ball hold pocket very well. I missed my mark twice and got the lucky Brooklyn strike. I love this ball!!!! Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

I tried resurfacing it multiple times and got no results. It's an amazing ball for short term, no doubt about it. But this ball doesn't last at all. Was this review helpful to you? This ball is good, but u must be accurate, it will let u missed 3 boards left and right, but anything further and its a split, washout, or bucket. i tried putting side roll, and the ball ended up to be too much. overall good ball for tight lanes or long heavy oil situations Was this review helpful to you? Verified Reviewer Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I love this ball, Its a great league ball, would not recommend for tournaments as I tried it in lilac and put away after four frames. Dont know why it didnt work maybe it was me. I had a 198 winter average and now I have a 221 average in the summer league. Its working so well for me that some people in the league asked the president to check the ball to make sure it was legit. How funny is that. Love the ball. Great purchase. Downside I have to bowl in tournaments now with a 220 plus average darn it. lol Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

Hits the pocket By Tex from South Bend, Indiana
Reviewed on: 12/6/2009
Unverified Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley Describe Yourself:Beginner Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Just started to bowl a couple of months ago, was using a plastic ball that I got for a birthday present, and my highest ever score WAS 168. The day I picked up the VG, I was terrible for the 1st few games trying to learn how to make a ball hook. The the guy that owns the center told me to slow down and let the ball do the work, just hit my arrows. I rolled a 191, 200, and 210 in the next three games. 601 and I'm just getting started, great ball! I start 4 boards to the left of the furthest left dot, and target the 3rd arrow from the right, the ball gets over next to the gutter, then makes a left turn into the pocket. Wow! I can get used to this! Everybody is wanting to try it, and they all love the action. Thanks Was this review helpful to you? Yes / No- You may also flag this review.

Verified Reviewer Pros:Comfortable Grip, Great Weight, Attractive Design, Flawless Surface Best Uses:Local Bowling Alley, Tournaments, Upgrade Describe Yourself:League Bowler Bottom Line:Yes, I would recommend this to a friend I am a league bowler and tournament player. I have had the Virtual Gravity for about 9 months now and I have increased my average from 185 to 202. I have a very high rev rate and average speed (17-18 mph) and can swing this ball out to 5 and have it whip back to the pocket. I leave an okay amount of 10s...but with my angle it is to be expected. This ball is pretty forgiving too. If you can buy one, get one. I bought another and have yet to drill it...waiting until this one dies. It has about 150 games on it and still hooks like the first day. One more thing...DON'T REFINISH IT! Leave it dull...it seems to have a hard time gripping on oil when polished. Lots of power, very aggressive! Does lose some performance after say 200 games not 20 to 30 as some have said. even losing performace is not a tragedy for this ball.
