Storm has re-released the popular Marvel Pearl bowling ball. This ball originated in 2011 and has been a hit on the lanes ever since. Storm created this ball and is re-releasing it because they were looking for a ball that offered a strong move to the pocket. The Centripetal Core used in this ball was designed for players that need low, stable spin with forgiveness, the extremely low center of gravity allows this. The core also features cascading channels that help maximize mid-lane control and produces a easier direction change down lane. The R2X Pearl coverstock creates a midlane reaction that suites various bowler's styles. This is a go to ball that won't let you down.
This ball is amazing. Its like it was meant for me. Had it drilled to get a later reaction and this thing comes back well. The biggest problem I encounter is over powering what i throw. I'm usually too fast for my bowling ball and never get to the pocket just right. This lets me throw high 17mph to mid 18mph and reacts accordingly. Add extra hand and I can get even more action. And the impact on the pins! Shots that were less than stellar hit and the pin scatter took everything down. I was averaging 156 before using this ball. Took it out twice now, first time right out of the box was A 588 series. Next time out shot a 607, my first ever series over 600. Definitely would recommend this ball.
I'm just an average bowler with a league average of 188. Although I've increased the number of games from one league a week to 3, my average has shot up 7 pins in just 2 weeks in one league with 30 games total. This small is the smoothest throwing and even though its a pearl, it doesn't snap at backend like most. The thing that I like the most about it is the power drive through the pins and it's only a 14 pounder. Very consistent with a lot of room to play with. The technical aspects as far as rotation, speed, and weight, is different on every person, so I'm not even going to post my specs on it. I've thrown 5 630 series or higher with my new ball and 1 588. In two weeks with my 188 average. For me, thats great. Very happy with the ball.
bowl in league , is a great ball , am dropping in ball weight
Just won a local tournament using the Marvel on the Kegel Chichen Itza Pattern. Lots of speed (for me 17 to 18) Standing 15 throwing up 8. Love the way the ball hits the pins. I don't own one yet, I used a friend's Marvel because none of my equipment was working.
Excellent products and service at bowling.com is second to none!
This ball shapes up very well and retains plenty of energy while doing it. I leave fewer 10 pins with this ball than any of my others. My average has jumped from 200s to 220s. Note that I hit it with a 2000 abralon pad to get it where I want.
Just got this and had my games. Great ball for new/tolerate bowlers. Has a nice drive too
