Jackal’d me off
Bought this ball and didn’t realize it would make me the next coming of Pete Weber instantly. First game bowled a 280 (all time high, like I was), second game ripped a 256. 14 strikes in a row, but couldn’t complete a poker hand for the life of me. Special thanks to Dan A. for drilling this illegally. Lost a couple friends on Thursday night, but I’ll make new ones.

Big Hook
Super impressed with the Jackal Ambush a ball that digs really hard up front but somehow continues through the pins. Night and day continuation compared to the previous heavy oil balls in this lineup the Alpha and Legacy. Not an everyday ball but one to have in the bag whether a tournament or league. On the THS I have the Ambush 5-7 boards stronger than the Legacy with it consistently running over the 8 pin. The best thing about Motiv is that they build on what they know and do well. Bravo

Jackal Ambush
The Jackal Ambush is the newest ball in our line and fits in the Heavy oil controllable category. Bowlers will find this ball stronger in the oil than the Jackal Ghost with still having a strong and controllable lane motion. I’ve found the Jackal Ambush most useable when the lane is fresh and you’re forced to use stronger slower pieces.
The Jackal Ambush has the Predator V2 core. The Predator V2 core gives the Jackal Ambush a strong and round down lane motion for Heavy volumes of oil.
The Jackal Ambush has the Leverage Solid reactive cover, the Jackal Ambush is designed to be stronger in the oil. Is the strongest cover stock we’ve ever developed.

Question:
Is this as strong as roto grip gem

Question:
What differences between this and the storm absolute? I’m somewhat new to bowling and bought the storm Fate as my first ball, which of these would compliment my fate and be used first in league?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Jackal Ambush will give you an earlier read on the lane than the Absolute and Fate. The Fate and Absolute are more similar to each other but they may be too similar to need both options so to give you more variance and to help you cover a wider range of conditions you may prefer the Jackal Ambush as you heavy oil ball and have the Fate as a compliment to this.

Question:
How does this compare to the Infinite Physix?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Hi Steve, the Motiv Jackal Ambush has a solid coverstock and will react earlier and more aggressive than the pearl coverstock of the Storm Infinite PhysiX.

Question:
does this work on oily lanes
Have an answer to this question?
Question:
How will this perform at speeds of 16+?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
16 is a pretty good speed and may be considered in the average speed. If you have an average rev rate then this ball will perform as advertised for you. If you are speed dominant and have a lower rev rate then this would be a good option because it is designed to react earlier on the lanes and will help to give you an earlier read. If you are rev dominant and you have a very high rev rate then this ball could possibly read too early for you and you may prefer something that goes a little longer so the ball will not roll out too early.
