The Classic uses top grain leather for both the upper and lining to keep feet cool and comfortable. You will have smooth and consistent approaches with Lind's Buckskin Slide Sole and Lind's own special smooth rubber traction sole with leather tip.
The shoes fit perfect! The amount of slide area under my new left shoe is about 4 times greater than my old shoes. On the heel area is a little extra room causing my heel to slide into them very easy without being loose. I am very impressed with the quality, fit, and comfort of these shoes. I am very happy I bought them and would buy them again!
Very comfortable shoes. I needed EEE width and these shoes have the width I was looking for.
I like the classic styling and the out of the box quality. I have only worn them twice so far, but the early reviews are good.
As seen on Willies comment have owned these shoes for over 40 years. Had them resoled when Linds still offered that service.
I have been bowling for 45+ years. When I was in my early 20's a friend of mine (who worked at a bowling supply store) recommended that I try a pair of Linds. I'm glad I listened to him as I had those shoes for 25 years. My average actually went up several pins over the next couple of months after my purchase. There were years when I would only bowl in one league but there were times when I would bowl in four leagues/week. This year the soles started looking quite wretched as the toe pad on my right shoe had come off and the sole on my sliding shoe was coming apart. I am now 49 and had to break down and buy my second pair of Linds. If these last as long as my first pair I could take these to the grave with me.
Love these shoes. Have never purchased any othe kind of shoe over a lifetime of bowling (started in 1951 at age 9).
Bought as Christmas present so I can't review Performance of shoe..I'm just thrilled that I finally found a shoe that fits my EEEE wide feet . I attribute this to the lacing that goes down to the toes. Just lace them looser and "PERFECTO" I don't forsee any problems on the lanes ..This is a quality made shoe and I'm sure it will perform great.
Returned original ordered pair for a smaller size. These have been on an extended time of back order. Customer service has been in regular contact which is good. The fault is obviously with the manufacturer (Linds) and NOT Bowling.com.

Linds offers a 1 year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase. This shoe is built to withstand a lot longer than this and it is common for a bowler to have the shoes over 10 years!10/7/2016 - By Bowling.Com Staff

Buckskin slide sole...How does that compare to the Dexter S8 sole?11/20/2019 - By Jeff
Most of the feedback we have heard would be that the Buckskin sole is just a little less slide than the S8 sole. The leather soles however are made to last a very long time and in some cases as you break them in you can start to get more slide out of the buckskin soles.11/21/2019 - By Bowling.Com Staff
