The Storm Concept challenges traditional thinking on how bowlers attack demanding lane conditions. Built for control, consistency, and confidence, the Concept delivers a smooth, predictable motion that reactive balls often struggle to provide—without the drawbacks commonly associated with urethane. At the core of the Concept is Storm’s innovative approach to core and cover synergy. The ARC Pearl Coverstock acts as both the engine and the tires, creating traction where it’s needed while maintaining continuous, controlled motion through the pins. Paired with the Radius Weight Block, which functions as traction control, the Concept stays on line and resists locking up, even on short patterns or flat, high-difficulty conditions where precision is critical. Designed for situations where bowlers traditionally reach for urethane, the Concept offers a familiar smooth shape with modern performance benefits. The advanced ARC™ Pearl formulation contains mica and delivers one of the highest coefficients of friction ever tested by Storm, while remaining right at the USBC limit for oil absorption. This allows the ball to dig into the lane without carrying oil downlane, ensuring it continues hooking through the pins for strong, lively pin action. The Concept’s motion stays consistent from foul line to pin deck. In the 14–16 lb weights, the ball features a two-piece construction with a thick resin shell, increasing the coefficient of restitution (COR) for improved energy transfer and enhanced pin carry. Despite its low differential design, the strong coverstock ensures reliable traction and continuation—never rolling forward or losing hit. Storm also engineered the Concept for consistency across all weights. The 14 lb version includes added internal mass to increase differential and match the smooth, predictable reaction of the 15–16 lb models. The 12–13 lb balls utilize the Camber A.I.
