Great shoes
This is my second pair of Dexter's, and my first with adjustable soles. Ripped off the slide and heel to be quickly replaced by an S12/H7 combo and could not be happier.

Cons:
should include at least one other sole and heel

Best shoes ive ever owned
Got these at start of season. Very comfortable and easy to break in. The Sole it comes with is sticky at first and the next sole up is like sliding on ice skates. After breaking them in they are great and hopefully will last a long time.

Pros:
My guy wears a 10.5 to 11 The 10.5 = perfect, Strong, sturdy outside wall

He is so happy with this gift!
He went straight to the bowling alley that afternoon and came back with a big smile. Said he may even have to sleep with them close tonight, sorta like a little boy with new tennies! Very pleased

Perfect bowling shoes.
I have never bowled in anything but Dexter. And never will probably. This is my fourth pair in almost 20 years. I was always happy with SST and these are even better than the ones I had before. Very comfortable, high quality, and look cooler than previous models. My usual size is closer to 10, but 9 1/2 from SST line fit perfectly.
At the first glance I was alarmed seeing the sliding soles/heels on the left shoe (I am left-handed) but they are symmetric and can be switched over easily.
Too bad Dexter does not supply additional soles/heels, covers and bags with these, but I still have the sets from SST 6 and 7. They are wider but can be cut to size, which I intend to do.
All in all, these are perfect. And thank you, bowling.com, your prices are unbeatable.

Great shoes
These shoes are new from Dexter. They replace the SST8 after receiving them I noticed that they were very similar to the tank model, except that both shoes have interchangeable soles.
Compared to the original SST8 they are a lot smaller on the over all with of the bottom of the shoe at least ½". Although it does not affect the with of the fit inside the shoe. They still run ½ size smaller than my street shoes. The new toe cap is a very good improvement. All the same normal slides and traction soles are the same althoe narrower . A large difference was the no longer supply additional slides, or heals or shoe cover. If you add all that up they would cost more than the older SST8. The construction looks to be very solid. You will love them.

Pros:
Comfortable, Interchangeable Soles and Heels

Great bowling shoes!
When I got the shoes, I ordered it a half-size down from my normal shoe size and it fit absolutely perfect. The minute I stepped on the lanes, the shoes felt very comfortable on the lanes. For me, the sole was a little slick, but the more I broke them in, I started to get my tempo figured out and started hitting the pocket more.

7/31/2017 - By krejworxHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
This is a brand new shoe that was just released. It is not the same shoe. The SST 8 cracked because people would drag their toe and those shoes were not meant for people that had serious toe drag.

The Dexter brand should be pretty true to size in between the same brand so if you have had Dexters before, you should be able to get the same size. There are slight difference in the last and cut of the shoe but I would not think it is enough to change the size.

9/27/2019 - By JAMHave an answer to this question?
Question:
i have toe drag what shoe is right for me
9/29/2019 - By joe dHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
This shoe is actually not good for someone with toe drag because the traction pad has been known to peel back over time due to toe drag. With that being said, there are actually no bowling shoes designed to handle toe drag very well. Dragging your toe will wear down the toe of just about any shoe quicker but for this shoe it will cause other problems so I would not suggest this model.

Question:
I need to slide to keep up my speed. Will this shoe give me a smooth slide?
10/11/2019 - By BoomerHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
This shoe comes with an S8 slide sole which is the most common slide found on Dexter shoes. There are options that slide more than the S8 Slide so if you needed more slide you could go up to a higher number slide from S9-S12.

Question:

11/10/2019 - By ShawnHave an answer to this question?

There is not a great way to know how the shoes will fit unfortunately. The best option is to get the True Fit Guarantee and this will let you exchange the first size for another size on the same shoe model and it make the exchange process quicker, easier, and cheaper.

Question:
I don't slide very much. Is one of the soles good for this?
11/23/2019 - By PeteHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
This shoe does not come with any extra slide soles included. The S8 slide is a pretty standard slide but if you do not want a lot of slide then you would like a lower number pad like an S2 or S4 pad. For Dexter, the lower the number on the pad , the less you slide.

Question:
So does it come with 2 sets of the soles if they are interchangable?
12/5/2019 - By DerekHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
This shoe will come with the soles and heels that are on the shoe but it does not have any extras included in the box. The soles and heels are interchangeable on both shoes so you can get replacements for either foot as needed.

If I buy a shoe and it does not fit can I get a full refund of my money
1/23/2020 - By LeeHave an answer to this question? https://www.bowling.com/service/returns/" />
Answer:
We do not have free returns or exchanges unfortunately. However, we do sell an option called the True Fit Guarantee for $3.99 and this would cover your expenses to change the same shoe to a different size if the first shoe does not fit. This only covers exchanges of the same shoe model to a different size. It would not cover returning for a refund back or exchanges to a different model shoe. 2/28/2020 - By BraxtonHave an answer to this question?

I would say to start with the same size you wear in the other Dexter. However, there are some slight differences in the shape of the shoes so you may want to get the True Fit Guarantee just to be safe.

Question:
What do u mean by toe drag?
5/7/2020 - By RomeHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
I will use a right handed bowler as an example. If you are right handed then you would typically slide on your left foot and your right foot will either kick up or some bowlers will drag the toe of the push off right foot to help balance. However, if you do drag your toe it will be particularly bad for this shoe because the traction sole of this shoe is removable. What Dexter has realized will happen is that the traction sole will tend to catch if you drag your toe and start to peel back over time and pretty soon your traction sole will be "bent" back from dragging that toe and you would have to buy a new traction sole very soon. If a shoe does not have the removable traction sole then there is nothing to catch and peel back if you drag your toe so it is recommended that if you drag your toe that you get a shoe that does not have removable traction soles.

Question:
you only ask shoe size , what about width, right or left hand, etc. ?
6/13/2020 - By Ed HHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
We list the regular width and wide width shoes as two different listings. This particular shoe is the regular width version of this shoe. If there was a wide width option for this shoe it would be listed on a separate page and the name of the shoe would say wide width in the title. Also, this shoe is designed to work for both Right and Left Handed bowlers because the soles and heels on both shoes are interchangeable so you can switch the traction and slide sole to either foot and it will work for either shoe. The shape of the pads is universal also to fit either shoe so the pad is not curved to only fit one shoe. Other shoes will specifically list which hand they are good for in the name of the shoe if it is only good for one hand but if the shoe said Right or Left Handed in the title then it will work for both.

Question:
I have toe drag. This shoe has a toe guard but says it won’t work with people that toe drag. Is that the case?
9/7/2020 - By BrandonHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
Because this shoe has a removable traction sole, it make this shoe a bad option if you drag your toe. When you drag your toe it will sometimes peel back the removable traction sole and over time you would have to replace the traction sole because it gets bent too far back. There are not really any good shoe options designed for toe drag. Some shoes will have a guards on the front but they still break down quicker if you drag your toe.
