The Storm Ice Storm Blue/White will freeze your opponents in place whenever you pull this out of the bag. A 3-Piece Pancake Core is surrounded by a Pearlized Polyester Coverstock that will allow the ball travel down the lane, pinpointing wherever you direct it. Finishing this ball in a 3500 grit polish, Storm wants this ball to have maximal length while retaining the accuracy a Polyester ball should have. Whether you bowl for cash or just for fun, the straight-shooting, durable Ice Storm is so cool your biggest rival will have a meltdown!
Spares, and Strikes
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Goes straight. When there isnt oil i can find the pocket and it is my best strike ball.
I wuv this product
Got this ball in September to use as a spare ball. It is great for that. In the oil dose exactly what it should it goes straight. If the lanes brake down and are dry it dose wonders. I don't know how many times I haven't been able to find a good reaction from a ball and have pulled this out to throw on a 1st ball. As a higher REV player I can pull this out go right up 5 when the lanes are dry and it will walk itself to the pocket and hit like a truck.
Perfect spare ball for any lane condition, can't bet the look either..
Wanted this ball to straight bowl. It does just that! Peffect straight ball to have. My ball arrived and had more white than blue but it does vary. Work's GREAT! and that works for me.
It is a spare ball, it goes straight.
What else is there to say but...it goes straight. Just like a spare ball should. I haven't missed a spare with it since I drilled it. Can't ask for more than that. And, of course, the fact blue is my favorite color means the ball is pretty too.
Brunswick has cheaper spare balls that do the job well, but uf you are partial to storm thus is a good choice

What do I get with drilling protection?
Hi Kathy. If your new ball cracks when it's drilled by a pro shop, bowling.com will replace your ball free of charge! Manufacturers' warranties typically do not cover for cracking during drilling and drillers are not held responsible for their mistakes or defects in the ball.
Why is the coupon not good
Hello Tony. Considering that the Ice Storm is currently on sale now, additional coupons can not be used at this time.
does the storm ice have a aggressive core in it ??
The core is a traditional 3 piece pancake core, which is not an aggressive core. This ball is made for light oil, with a very minimal break as the ball nears the pocket.
how does the reaction of the Ice compare with the Mix?
Hello Jim. The Storm Ice and Mix are spare balls and will only bowl straight.
The difference between Ice and Mix are coverstock. Mix is a spare ball with urethane cover which can be use as a strike ball. Ice is all plastic, so it will go straight
Could this ball be used as a strike ball?
This ball is a spare ball, which only bowls straight. If you can bowl it straight down the lane, you could use it as a strike ball.
Is this a spare ball
Yes, this is a spare ball.
Does this ball come drilled
This ball will can be drilled by bowling.com for $14.95 or you can take it to your local pro shop to have it drilled to fit your hand.
Is this a plastic ball
Hello Susie. Yes this is a plastic/spare ball.
I am looking for a spare ball, and have heard many good things about this one. With the way I bowl, my ball has a heavy hook, and I need to know: will this ball go straight?
This ball will go completely straight down the lanes.
This ball is going to relatively straight depending on the amount of spin you put on your ball. Personally i have lots of spin so i can get this ball to hook and strike as a strike ball
Is the design on the ball like in the picture with the word ice dripping down
Yes, that is correct!
They come in 10 pounds
Does ball hook
Unfortunately, this ball is a spare/plastic ball so it will only bowl straight.
Hi! I throw a 12lb at a 16.5 speed; is this ball going to be okay for that since it’s plastic?
That shouldn't be a problem at all. This should be okay since it is a plastic ball.
Does it work for all lane conditions
does this ball hook I'm a new bowler and learned to curve so I want a beginner ball that hooks
This is a spare ball that will only bowl straight.
How do you get ball drilled?
You can either bring it to a local driller or purchase drilling through bowling.com and we can drill it for you.
Does this come in 11 lbs
Unfortunately, it does not.
Does it hook at all, even 1/2 of an inch at 100 RPM?
Unfortunately, this ball will have no hook for it is a spare/plastic ball.
Can you put finger tip insert in the ball
Yes, of course!
can you drill this ball with finger/posotive?
Hello Doug! If you click the "?" next to the drilling with free protection, it will give the sizes for each drilling option. We would not be able to customize this drilling to fit you.
Is it available in 8 or 9 lbs?
The lightest weight we have is 10lbs for this ball. You could get a 8lb in the Storm Mix line if you needed an 8lb.
Yes, this is a spare ball that is meant to just go straight on the lanes.
I currently roll a 13lb Storm Ice, like that it's straight. Would a 14lb Storm Ice give me more action? I get a lot of 9s.
Both bowling balls will go straight but the 14lb could give you more carry through because it is heavier and this could give you a little more pin action.
Hey my question is when I choose the medium drilling it will be about the same size as a house ball right I am a new bowler and use a 10# ball with a medium drilling
You may click on the question mark next to the $14.95 drilling option to view the size chart to confirm the measurements of your hand to see if medium would be an accurate size for you.
Wife throws a reverse hook and leaves too many 10 pins on a short oil condition. Please suggest a ball with better backend reaction
The Storm Ice Storm Blue is a spare ball meant to just go straight. If you wanted something stronger on the backend than what you have we would need to first know what you currently have. You would probably want to get a pearl coverstock ball to get good length and a strong backend and make sure the next ball is a step up in the performance level compared to the ball you have now.
Is this ball good for 2 handers?
Yes, most bowling balls can work for 2 handed bowlers. This ball was designed to go straight so it could be a good spare ball if you needed one.
If im a starter what ball would you recommend
If you wanted to bowl straight then this Storm Ice would be a good option but if you wanted to have hook potential on the ball then you may want one of our entry performance balls like a Storm Tropical Surge.
Does it come with a thumb hole drilled? I'm a two hander so I don't really need it if it comes with it
The ball starts out without and holes in the ball. We do offer a basic drilling option for $14.95 on some weights but you may decline this if you would rather get it drilled locally so you can custom drill it exactly how you want it.
Will this be a good option for a 6 years old?
The performance of this ball would be just for a straight bowler. However, this ball only goes down to 10lbs. If you needed a lighter weight like 8lbs or 6lbs then you may need to look for an option that is available in those weights.
Can it be drilled to have a little hook
There are not any features on this ball to help give it hook potential. If you were to get in drier conditions you may be able to hook this ball but it would just be from the spin you put on it and not from any features on the ball.
Is this ball good to use for strikes or is it used just as a spare ball
You could use this as a strike ball if you wanted but it will not have any features to help give it hook potential. Some bowlers do not hook the ball and this would be a good option if you were a straight bowler to use as a strike ball.
Does this ball come in colors/styles
We currently only have this ball in the one color option.
Does this ball have a fragrance?
Unfortunately the spare balls by Storm do not have a fragrance.
can this ball be ordered pre-drilled?
For some bowling balls we offer a basic drilling option for an extra fee. After you select the weight you want look just below the weight selection box to see if we have an option for Drilling w/ FREE Protection. That is the option where we would do drilling.
Do you drill the balls
We do offer drilling for some bowling balls for an extra fee. If you select the weight you want, just below the weight selection box there will be an option that says Drilling w/ FREE Protection if we offer drilling for that weight.
what is the best spare ball weight
I think most bowlers will have the same weight for their spare ball as they have for their strike ball.
Drilling w/ free protection Where do you get the drilling done?
If you select the Drilling w/Free Protection then we would do the drilling for you before the ball ships out. If you select to add Drilling Protection then that is to help protect the ball if you take it somewhere locally and the ball chips or cracks while it is being drilled at your local proshop.

i would like my ball drilled with purchase, how do you tell the size.
The drilling that we offer on this ball is a conventional drilling and you select from the sizes that we have preset. To see the size chart on the preset sizes you may click the "?" beside the drilling option.
Does this ball have 3 holes that are close together for your fingers or are they really far apart?
This ball will start without any holes. We offer drilling options for some of the weights and to see a size chart for the holes you may click the "?" out beside the drilling option.
Due to the time it takes to produce the Storm Ice Storm Blue/White ball it will ship in immediately. We cannot ship this ball outside the United States.
