Metro Detroit USBC launches monthly TV show

Metro Detroit USBC, the largest association in the country, has teamed with the State Champs! Network to produce a monthly TV show called Michigan Kingpins.

Getting the latest news to its members is important for an association and Metro Detroit USBC is able to inform its members through the Michigan Kingpins show. League and tournament information, coverage of local bowling events, a look at bowling technology and more are covered during the 30-minute show.

Mark Martin, association manager for Metro Detroit USBC and a USBC board member, serves as host for Michigan Kingpins. Martin credits Mark Rottenberk, who produces the show in addition to being the reporter, for making the show possible.

"The Metro Detroit USBC is proud to present Michigan Kingpins, with the help of our sponsors," Martin said. "This program will give us the opportunity to reach out to our members and give them valued information about the association and what we do for our members."

The first of 11 shows in the series premiered in late August. The show, which airs on Comcast Channel 900 in the Detroit area, has had encore broadcasts throughout the last month and the second show will air September 20.
