Storm DNA Coil

Storm DNA Coil Meet the Storm DNA Coil, where the perfect fusion of coverstock and core elevates your game. Designed for versatility, the EXO Pearl coverstock with Reacta Gloss finish offers a clean, brilliant look without sacrificing midlane readability. Paired seamlessly with the Supercoil Core, this bowling ball ensures consistent, controlled reactions. The chemical friction and porosity of EXO Pearl prevent unexpected over/under reactions, providing length with forgiveness. Utilizing the same layout as its predecessor, the DNA Coil delivers early-revving action, evolving into a longer, more angular ball motion as the lanes break down. The Supercoil Core, with strategically placed mass around its equator, lowers the RG, allowing the ball to read the midlane early and fulfill the demands of professionals worldwide for a powerful hook before the end of the pattern.

Question:

How does the DNA coil compare to the virtual black out

3/17/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

While both the Storm DNA Coil and the Storm Virtual Energy Blackout are high-performance bowling balls from Storm, they are designed to excel in different lane conditions and offer distinct reaction shapes. The DNA Coil is better suited for heavier oil patterns, providing a strong mid-lane read and backend hook, while the Virtual Energy Blackout is more suitable for medium to heavy oil patterns, offering enhanced length and a sharper backend motion.

Question:

How does the DNA Coil compare to Storms Absolute Power

4/6/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The noticeable difference on the DNA Coil is that it will react later on the lane with a sharper backend hook than the Absolute Power. Both are high performance and both have a high hook potential which help them both work in heavy oil but the DNA Coil will just react later and sharper.

4/15/2024 - By

Question:

How much will this ball hook with really low revs

10/21/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There are a few factors to keep in mind on this. For an average bowler (average speed, average revs) on heavy oil conditions this ball will have a high hook potential. If your ball speed is lower and your revs are lower then you can still expect a decent amount of hook in heavy oil. If you have an average or higher ball speed and low revs then you may see a bigger drop of in hook potential in heavy oil but you may see that this ball works better in medium oil conditions for you and in those conditions you would have a stronger hook potential. So there are several options for this ball to still give you a decent amount of hook depending on the other factors.

Question:

How does it compare to the ethos hybrid

12/28/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

A couple of things that jump out initially is that the DNA Coil is a higher performance ball and designed to handle heavier oil conditions which will indicate it has a stronger hook potential. The DNA Coil is also designed to have more length and a more angular backend hook than the Ethos Hybrid.
