Radical Rattler NU

The Radical Rattler NU leverages new Not Urethane (NU) chemistry in its cover stock, offering the unique motion of urethane without its typical drawbacks. Retaining the original Rattler core with an RG of 2.480 and a differential of 0.035, the Rattler NU provides a medium DIFF core paired with this innovative cover. This combination delivers a smooth, controllable, and continuous ball motion, making it an excellent addition to the Rattler lineup for mastering the backend of the lane.

Bridging the Gap Between Urethane and Resin

The NU Rattler is a very unique piece! It is a little stronger than the NU Blue overall, but it also gives an option for a ball that lets you keep your angles in front of you. I use it pretty frequently when encountering over/under conditions, and I need something the is cleaner and more continuous than urethane, but only by a small margin.

Pros:

smooth, continuous, forgiving

Cons:

super floods, heavy long oil patterns

Best Uses:

burnt heads, medium oil patterns, compliment to urethane

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Rattler NU: A perfect urethane compliment!!

I drilled the Radical Rattler NU 4" x 25 to mimic my favorite layout I use on all my urethane bowling balls. I did this to have the Rattler NU as a perfect compliment when the urethanes start to hook too early, or when the lane pattern dictates that I need a cleaner motion with a more defined backend reaction. The Rattler NU, with the proven Rattler symmetric core and innovative NU coverstock, provide me with length, power, and most importantly, control. The Rattler NU will not be the biggest hooking ball in your bag, but will most likely be the most reliable ball reaction you will find shot after shot. The .035 diff and 2.480 rg are a perfect combo for medium oil patterns. I have had great success with the Rattler NU on both the Stone Street and PBA Viper oil patterns. Control!

So Surprised

So surprised! I expected this to be much like the Hammer NU but boy was I wrong. It has the same control that the Hammer NU but it is MUCH stronger. It has been awhile since I got this much control with this much curve. Not to be missed. Get one soon to start the season!

Rattler NU

I drilled mine 30 X 4 X 45. The Radical Rattler was one of my favorite benchmark balls of all time, so I was extremely excited to hear about this release which utilizes the original Rattler core. Plus this is the second ball ever that is Not Urethane (NU). This is the perfect piece if you are looking for a ball that is very smooth and controllable.

Rattler NU

Great ball I really like playing to the right with it. It was like throwing urethane, except when I miss in a little ball still was able to recover and takeout the 10 pin. This ball will easily go in the tournament bag and the house shot bag.

Question:

is the radical rattler N. U. urethane or not

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This does not have a urethane covestock. They use a reactive material that they have designed to react similar to what Urethane does.
