PBA Spare Shots: Pete Weber Makes Surprise Appearance on ESPN’s SportsNation

by Bill Vint

PBA Hall of Famer Pete Weber, visiting Los Angeles to “star” in an upcoming ESPN “This is Sports Center” commercial, was also invited to make a surprise appearance on ESPN’s SportsNation where he participated with hosts Michelle Beadle, Marcellus Wiley and Max Kellerman in a fan-interactive game called “That’s how I roll…”

The almost nine-minute segment closed with fans voting on which “meltdown” was the best: Weber’s classic “Who do you think you are? I am…” outburst after winning the 2012 U.S. Open, or Philadelphia Phillies’ closer Jonathan Papelbon’s recent tirade after making an obscene gesture toward Phillies’ fans after blowing a save. Weber’s enthusiastic reaction after winning the U.S. Open was an easy winner.
