Dexter continues their SST 8 line of shoes with the classic colors of black and gold. The SST 8s utilize a unique technology that allows the soles and heels of the shoes to interchange. The interchangeable technology allows you to customize your soles to best fit your approach. Because both shoes are interchangeable the shoe can be converted for a leftie or a righty.
This shoe design does not match up well with bowlers who have "serious toe drag"

I bought my wife a pair a week later.
I had an inexpensive pair of Dexter Jacks, but was having trouble planting and sliding consistently. No amount of powder or brushing seemed to help. My left hip became quite tender, and my PT thought a new pair of shoes might help. So, I got the SST 8 and dialed in the soles. My hip is 100x better and my scores have improved due to confident footwork. What an improvement and I should have done it months ago.
You can create a combination of soles for most approaches with the soles that are included. Very easy to switch to left handed.
As expensive as these shoes are I was disappointed when I received them to see the poor or lack of quality control in making them. The leather on toe off center and stitching not uniform. The gold paint/dye on sides not smooth or clean. Looks like it's already starting to flake off after wearing one time. I feel like I received factory seconds. However they are comfortable and can fine tune any slide on any lane. So bottom line function great, looks not so good.
Dexter SST8... great bowling shoes.
I have found the shoes to be very comfortable.
These shoes were the best thing for me should have purchased these shoes sooner. With me previous shoes had to keep buying slide socks.
