Motiv Blue Tank

Not a weak ball. Liking the Microcell cover.
Just a Friday night league guy here. Was thinking this would be the weakest ball in my bag, not the case. Strength wise, I would compare it to my Hustle, just a different shape. Even with the lower diff number, this ball covers plenty of boards. This is my first Tank, and I’m liking it so far. Haven’t thrown it much, but I finally used it for two entire games tonite, shot 222 and 205. The MCP cover is what really seems to make this ball special. It’s just a different, but very predictable shape. Starts to read the lane quickly and moves slow and smoothly towards the pocket, and has a great continuation and forward motion sending pins straight back. Still learning to “trust it” but it seems to be pretty easy to throw with a very repeatable shot. Doesn’t over react and blends the lane out nicely. I like the slower smooth motion and it works great for playing a straighter line for me. The cover is really easy to adjust as well. I hit mine with a 2K pad to calm it down just a bit, the OOB was just a little too aggressive for what I was wanting to see out of this ball. I think the Blue Tank could easily be a first ball out of the bag on light/medium volume with the 1000 factory finish. Im a 17mph lower rev stroker drilled pin up.

Motiv Blue Tank
As an owner of the desert and purple tanks, i was interested in the blue. The second game using the blue, i bowled my second best game ever at 244 (im only a 165 avg for reference). Im a high rev, two hander. I feel that its a stronger desert tank (which is what i was hoping for). When the desert tank is too weak, i can flip to the blue and get a similar shape, but a lot stronger.
I also really enjoy the appearance of this ball. The blue is a beautiful color and the black logos pot nicely. If your a fan of the tank line, you should like the blue tank.

The BEST Microcell Polymer Ball yet!
The Blue Tank is absolutely unbelievable and one of the most unique pieces I've ever thrown. I drilled two, one a 60x4x0 and one at 50x5x70 and they are completely different from each other. The 60x4x0 is crazy strong throughout the entire lane, it flares a ton and is genuinely stronger than my Venom Shock front to back on the lane and can cover almost as many boards left to right. The versatility I have seen out of this one is insane. The 50x5x70 Blue Tank on the other hand is all about control. It shapes like classic urethane through the front and mid part of the lane but continues through the pin deck just as well as any reactive ball on the market. The differences in layouts and reaction truly show how much you can customize this ball to your liking with just a layout alone. I think this is the best Microcell piece to come out, hands down. Finally, I would like to mention a huge feature of this ball that makes it the best MCP yet, how quickly the cover shines. Even after close to 50 games or more, the coverstock on the Blue Tank is not shiny by any means, and that's with no resurface or cleaning. For me personally, that was something I fought with the Tank Blitz as it would shine up on me very quickly and my ball reaction would change too much, if you also had that issue with the Blitz, I promise that you will not with the Blue Tank. This is absolutely the BEST MCP ball yet!!!

Blue Tank Review
The Blue Tank is the latest ball added to the amazing Tank line from Motiv bowling. This new Blue Tank has the Halogen V2 core wrapped around the Microcell Polymer Frixion M3 Pearl cover. This ball has a Urethane like shape through the fronts and a Resin like down lane motion. This is the perfect ball to get into when you want a smoother ball reaction and the Purple Tank isn’t quite strong enough.

Question:
I’m doing a summer sports shot. The shot will change every other week. Would the blue tank work well? I’m more of a down and In.
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This is designed to have a lower hook potential and have a smoother roll similar to urethane with the duller out of the box finish. If you like more of a down and in shot then you may prefer a pearl reactive that has more of a polished finish out of the box like the Fatal Venom or Ripcord Velocity.
