Customer Questions & Answers | Reviews
Question:
Does this have a spare ball core?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
In 10 and 11 lbs this would have a pancake weight block which is similar to the spare ball but in 12lbs - 16lbs this has a better weight block than a spare ball.

Question:
Hey Bowling.com Staffer, I currently have a Tropical Breeze model and saw that Storm changed the line to Tropical Storm. I know that those two ball had the same specifications, but I was wondering if you could tell me the differences between the Tropical Breeze and the Surge?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
To try and give a close comparison I will compare the details on a 15lb ball. The Tropical Breeze RG was 2.57 and the RG Diff was 0.009. On the Surge the RG is 2.58 and RG Diff is 0.024. So the weight block on the Surge is going to be a little stronger hook potential. The coverstocks are going to be very very similar with the same finish out of the box so it is almost a tie when it comes to that. But the Surge is just replacing the Breeze line as the Storm entry performance ball for medium to lighter oil.

Question:
Is this similar to the Tropical Breeze
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Yes, this would be the most similar option that Storm has to the Tropical Breeze. The Surge will have a slightly stronger weight block but the other features are pretty much the same.

Question:
My son is entry level. Throws fairly straight with a slight curve. Is not a fingertip bowler. Would this ball be a good choice for him?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Yes, this is a great option for someone starting out and it has a late breaking hook for medium to lighter oil conditions. It will not be too aggressive for someone who does not want a lot of hook. This would be a good option.

Question:
Are holes standardized or can I pick how wide the holes are?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
For some bowling weights we offer a basic drilling option for an additional fee ($14.95 at the time I am writing this). To see a size chart for this drilling option you may click the "?" beside the option and will give you a size chart. If you say no to this option then ball will ship without holes.
