One of the best balls ever

Love this ball. I'm an average bowler (181 avg.) Since I have been using the storm phase only 200+ and almost a 700 series (689) I would recommend this ball to anyone who wants to improve their game. The lemon smell is really great too.

Smooth arching reaction, perfect for a house shot.

Great ball that doesn't require too much effort on a house shot. Doesn't over Rev like the Alpha Crux.

Extremely Versatile Bowling Ball

I bought this ball when it first came out. I have been throwing this ball for some time now and have zero complaints about this ball. They way that it adapts to the lane that you are throwing on is just unbelievable! If you have the knowledge of throwing a bowling ball and how a lane works and what line to use then this is for sure the ball for you! Normally when picking a ball you have to pick a ball on the style that you throw but if you are a person that can adapt easily then pick this ball! Set this ball up to the normal way that you throw but when you need to change lines because of lane conditions changing it is really easy to do with this ball because of its versatility! I am just an average player with a 171 average UNTIL I bought this ball. Now I am throwing in the 190s and above! My best game with this ball so far is a 299. (so close) I really love this ball and will forever stay in my arsenal!

i would buy this ball again, already thinking about it.

all of my storm product's are great for me. I have over 40 storm ball's drilled differently, and they fit what I need. the phazse is smooth, goes long with some backend punch, and gives plenty of hitting power to the pocket. I really like this ball, and might drill another one for sport shot's.

Steer Clear ball does not perform as advertised

I purchased this ball from my local pro shop on its release date based on information provided by Storm. I wanted a ball with more hook than my I.Q 30. This ball Does Not perform as indicated on the Storm website. My I.Q. 30 has more flare than the Phaze even though Storm claims up to 6" flare potential. The information provided by Storm is very misleading and totally false in my opinion. A friend purchased this same ball and is having the finish dulled down to get more hook. Storm needs to revise the information on their website because this ball does not hook as advertised and is a total piece of garbage. Like I said this ball has less hook than both the I.Q. 30 and the Storm Sky Rocket.

Great ball

Got it drilled with my ring finger just southwest of the dot. Reacted wonderfully on the lane. Smooth motion, good controlled hook. I love this ball. Good rotation on the back end as well. Very good ball

Question: What weight do people use on the lanes?

3/5/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer: The 15# weight is purchased the most. We suggest that you use the heaviest weight you can handle for at least 2 games.

3/7/2016 - By

Question: Pin up or pin down

3/27/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer: Hello, you may check with the person who will be drilling this ball for you prior to ordering to determine which layout and specs they would use to get you the desired reaction.

3/28/2016 - By

Question: How long does this ball go, length-wise, before it takes its course to the pocket?

4/18/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer: Thanks for the question Tom! The Storm Phaze is designed to go long and hook closer to the pins because of its pearl coverstock.

4/19/2016 - By

Question: I NEED A BALL THAT TRAVELS LONG BEFORE HOOKING. WHAT SHOULD I PURCHASE?

4/18/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer: Hello MOPAR! The Storm Phaze is designed to go long and hook closer to the pins because of its pearl coverstock. This would be a great ball for you!

Question: I need help in deciding which ball to invest in, the Phaze or the Rocket Ship, and would like to hear your opinion on both. How do they compare?

5/16/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer: Get the phaze because it goes long and hooks had but of if your looking for something smoother go with the fight or rocket ship

Question: I Need A Ball That Hook Fast

9/15/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer: This ball is designed to hook later on the lanes. It is not designed to read earlier on the lanes or fast. You may like the Phaze II for a ball that reads the lanes earlier or faster on the lanes.

9/29/2016 - By

Question: Is the phaze skid fip ball or more control in the back end.is the ball some what like iq fusion

9/27/2016 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer: The pearl cover stock and the polished finish do help the ball to break later on the lanes but when it reads on the backend, it is described to be a smoother reaction on the backend. It has different numbers and features than the IQ Fusion so I would not expect it to be the same reaction. This may be a little longer than the Fusion and maybe a board or two weaker.

Question: i am a two hand righty bowler. i average about a 170 with a columbaia reactive scout. i am looking into a new ball and like this one. was wondering if anyone knows how the hook is on this ball and if it is easy to control

1/15/2017 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer: On medium oil this ball is very aggressive. It will be a big step up on hook potential from the Columbia Scout and with your style of bowling I would guess you get a lot of revs on the ball. I would probably use this more on medium to heavier oil with your style because if you get this into medium to lighter oil it will be too strong and aggressive.

1/17/2017 - By

Question: How does the storm phase compare to the snap lock? Which one hooks more?

8/12/2017 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer: The Snap Lock will be more aggressive considering it is a High Performance ball whereas the Storm Phaze is only an Upper Mid Performance ball.
