Storm Timeless

Storm has joined forces with multi PBA champion Jason Belmonte to create a ball that they feel will be timeless. The Storm Timeless is the first ball to be released in Storm's Signature Line of bowling balls. This ball uses the unique Dual-Drive core and partners it with the amazing R2S coverstock. This core and cover team creates a ball that is fast-revving like the IQ Tour and hits with power much like the Hy-Road. The Dual-Drive core is a weight block within a weight block. These two weight blocks work together to create a ball core that generates faster revving action and a greater amount of energy transmission at the pins. The R2S Hybrid Reactive coverstock glides through the front of the lane and then reacts to the backend with a unique motion.

Superb. Best ball since Virtual Gravity.

Just tried my Storm Timeless out of the box, had a 178 192 142 196 165 188 and topped off with a 223. This is on medium to heavy oil, and after the fifth game I moved to a different lane that I detected had fresher oil, and then bowled the 188 and 223. Everybody is giving this ball 5 stars, and they are right, I am only a 150 bowler, but this ball is superb first time I bowled this well since 2016. Tonight they had a special at my bowling alley $5 for unlimited bowling 8pm to close, and the $5 was well worth it for the high game. In the 7th game I had 5 strikes in a row. Very good ball. My best series ever is a 672 and game a 268. I have good feelings I will top those scores in the next league I play in with the Timeless.

Storm Timeless

TIMELESS
What a great piece for the first release in the Signature line. THIS BALL IS INCREDIBLE!!!!! It's a Hyroad on juice. And the shelf appeal is absolutely one of the best looking balls ever!! (But my favorite color is blue) I drilled two of them, but the one in the review is 5x5x2. I bowled on a fresh 39' house shot with ths layout, I could do anything my game allows me to do. I could go straight up the boards or I could get in and cover half of the lane. Someone with a lot of hand will have all of the lane. The Timeless is as clean if not cleaner than the Hyroad, but the back end motion is so much stronger. For me this Timeless had recovery from everywhere. Sometimes for me the Hyroad got a little squirrelly on wet dry patterns, but the Timeless with the dual weight block seems to blend those type of patterns out. As more games were bowled I could keep moving left and the backend motion was just as strong as ever. This Timeless ball will be a great house shot ball and as clean as it is through the fronts, I think it'll be an even better sport shot ball. Great job by Jason Belmonte and everyone else involved...

Storm TIMELESS - Ball Review AMAZING**

Well what can I say.... The ball has an amazing appearance and looks great with the gold accent. I drilled 2 of these balls. 1st ball - 80/4 1/4"/35, 2nd ball - 75/3 7/8"/50. I wanted one to set up later and then one to read the lane earlier. Both balls get through the heads very easily for a hybrid cover, and maintain lots of energy for the backend. The TIMELESS has a very controllable motion through the midland and backend. My first game out of the box I shot 287 and had lots of room with Drilling #2. Even if I missed my target by a board or two, it still maintained control through the pocket. Light hits which I was sure would leave a 10 pin never did. With the DUAL weight blocks you can see how hard the ball hits and continues through the pocket. The best Hybrid I have ever thrown. Very versatile on many conditions. I have thrown it on house, and sport shots and been able to line up and create a great look. If your looking for control and lots of hitting power the TIMELESS is your ball.

It's Timeless

The duel weight core makes this ball move on the back end, I did a 3 to 4 inch pin placement, it really gets down the lane, then glides to the pocket
Great ball

Awesome New Best Friend for lane play

Part of the reason I selected "Timeless" is because Belmonte is my favorite bowler, and I believed it had to be good. However, it is an "Excellent" ball that I have used in multiple centers and many different lane conditions, etc. and I am more impressed. The glow of It on the lane attracts so much attention during league that bowlers from other lanes wanted to know about the ball at every center I used it.. My coach and I agree that "Timeless" is an excellent ball choice for me and my high scores during league and practice confirms. Color and smell are bonuses. I highly recommend this ball to bowlers at all levels, Many Thanks to all who assisted in its existence.

Great purchase

First game out of box 248 with two opens. Then a 209 with 3 opens.
So it works well, but you must adjust.

Storm Timeless

I recently drilled up the new Storm Timeless. My layout was 60x5x30 this ball is very clean in the front part of the lane. Gives you a great look in the mid lane like and IQ and still has a strong backend motion. This was the same layout I used on my Phaze II and compared too my Phaze II this ball looks great when you need to step left and get that little extra. This is a great addition to the Storm product line and a great choice to add to your bag.

Still 5 stars

Timeless is still rolling very well, the two reviews that show it doesnt last long, probably are missing that you have to bake this ball in the middle of league something I just learned. Usually a 150 bowler, was averaging 171 and went 7 and 0 in matches after baking it right before the January-April league (had owned this ball since a month before my "superb" review). Now i didnt bake the ball, and fell back to a 166 average and 9-4-2, so I was thinking I might buy a new ball for the upcoming fall league, however all I had to do was bake it, which I did to late at the end of the league, but have been rolling mostly 150-200 in practices since I baked it after league ended. My advice bake this ball before each league and in the middle and it should pack a punch for at least a year or 2.

Would not buy this again

I never rate anything, but felt really cheated. Bought this ball expecting the ball to turn well like when it first came out. We loaded this ball. Re-surfaced it even to get the polish off it.No matter what we did it wouldn't move. It just spins and never moves. Really, feel I just got a defective ball. I have found that people have gotten frustrated with this ball and gave up. I watch person after person try to roll this ball. and they roll it just awful. Trying to get it to do something it will never do. Found out Belmo doesn't even roll this thing. I wanted so much for this ball to be good. I wish I could get another ball to replace the top price I paid for it. Really disappointed for a Storm product. I've bought many and have never found a reactive ball that couldn't be made into something but a spare ball.

Question:

I see that this has the option for drill protection so does that mean it comes pre-drilled? If so what size are the holes?

2/13/2017 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Hello! The Drilling Protection is a one time fee of $7.95, you will have 10 days to use this protection while you drill your ball. If anything were to happen during the drilling process, bowling.com will cover the ball and replace it with a new one.

Question:

Whhat is "Pin/Top Weight"?

2/14/2017 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Hi Richard! The pin is a drilling term that is relative to a bowler's track designed purposely for creating more ball dynamics. A Pin-in ball (when the pin is located within two inches of the Center of Gravity) is excellent choice for control and less hook; a Pin-out ball usually can be made to hook more and flip more dramatically than pin-in balls; they often give the driller more options. The top weight is another drilling term for drilling of a ball so that there is more weight above the label than there is below; it is considered a positive weight.

Answer:

The Timeless is a high performance ball designed for medium to heavier oil conditions so it will be a very strong hooking ball. I am not sure I have one ball that would stand out as the highest hooking ball but if you get a high performance ball that can handle heavy oil then you should see a strong hook potential.
