If you are looking for a ball for straight bowling, spare shooting, or just looking good on the lanes then the Ebonite Maxim is one to consider. These balls not only look awesome in the light but they also look cool in blacklight. For these reasons and more the Ebonite Maxim is one of the most popular polyester bowling balls in the industry.
I throw a nine pounder at 14.5 mph and the pins explode. Off pocket hits get most pins.it's amazing how many strikes I had in five games. I put my hook ball away for now. My first Turkey in 52 years!
After a 52 year hiatus from the sport,I will give it a go.lots of arthritis,I need light weights. A 12 pound ball is tough on my left arm.12 pound hook ball,9 pound spare ball we will see. Thanks.

Even though this is a spare ball, can you use this ball for your first roll or no?11/3/2019 - By Nick
Yes, you may use this as a strike ball if you like to throw the ball straight. It is only listed as a spare ball to differentiate it from the performance hook bowling balls.11/5/2019 - By Bowling.Com Staff
Why do you say this is a straight ball? I have bowled with it and had no problems making it hook.11/19/2019 - By Barrie
This ball does not have any features that help give this ball hook potential. The coverstock is not designed to hook and the weight block is not designed to help the ball hook. So the hook that you may get on this is if the lanes are lighter oil to drier conditions and/or if you have a high rev rate then you may get some movement on this.11/20/2019 - By Bowling.Com Staff
My local pro shop does not give guarantees on 6lb balls and I have had 2 that cracked. I use 6 lb balls since I am a 5ft senior citizen. Do you have a warranty on 6 lb balls.3/1/2020 - By Senior bowler
Unfortunately 6lb balls are starting to not have warranties if the ball has adult drilling. The 8lb ball will be covered under warranty and have a much better chance of not cracking but 6lbs are less dense and more likely to crack.3/5/2020 - By Bowling.Com Staff
