metal supports are not removable

Misrepresented on-line
I bought this brace for bowling but only because the description said the metal supports are removable. I don't need them but wanted only the leather fit for support. There are no slits to remove them so I've trashed the brace by trying to remove them myself. It's a nice looking piece, good quality but useless for me. Just be aware.
