Brunswick Melee Jab Midnight Blue
The Brunswick Melee Jab Midnight Blue combines the Melee Low RG symmetrical core with the Savvy Hook 3.0 Pearl Reactive coverstock. This combination provides an ideal ball motion on medium oiled lanes for different style bowlers. This ball provides medium length by skidding through the fronts with a strong mid-lane rotation and a powerful backend reaction. Brunswick continues to tweak the Savvy Hook coverstock to create a chemically designed surface that provides more traction for a pearl ball on today's medium to oily lanes.

BIG BLUE
Melee Jab Midnight Blue is one ball that I overlooked and should've been in my bag sooner!
With the Melee Jab SE being one of my favorites, the Midnight Blue is replacing it.
Compared to my SE, the Midnight Blue reads a little bit earlier and not as sharp, when coming off the pattern. Same hitting power. Both balls have the same layout.
Better late than never!

Midnight JAB
The Midnight Jab is a great add to the Melee line. Tested on a THS. I have the midnight a bit cleaner with a sharper move at the breakpoint over the Blood Red. I’m seeing about 3-5 boards more overall than the Blood Red. The midnight does seem to read earlier in mids. Has a very quick and strong arch like motion. Not uncontrollable. Was able to keep it in front and throw it away with tons of hitting power. 2 Great Jabs are going to knockout the competition.

Brunswick Melee Jab Midnight Blue
Was able to drill up my Brunswick Melee Jab Midnight Blue last week. Used it in practice against the Melee Jab Blood Red. It has the same shape but digs in just a bit sooner, so it covers maybe 3 or 4 boards more overall. Pulled it out at the regional Sunday on the 46' Petraglia pattern and it had no problem picking up in the oil. This will compliment the other Jab and the Knockout perfectly.

Melee Jab Midnight Blue review
I drilled this Jab similar to the Blood Red Jab but has a half inch longer pin to PAP. The blue Jab pushes slightly longer in oil and responds harder than the blood red. I see a faster response time in the friction in the midnight blue Jab than the blood red. I will use the midnight blue Jab as I need to get deeper as a way to create more angle and recovery down lane.
Customer Questions & Answers | Reviews
Question:
How does this ball compare to the melee hook
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This ball will have more length and a stronger backend than the Melee Hook which read the lanes earlier and had more of a smooth arcing hook. This Jab Midnight compares much more closely with the Melee Jab Blood Red

Question:
How does it compare to the red alert?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
Unfortunately I do not have a lot of details on the older Red Alert to do a good comparison but I can confirm the Melee Jab Midnight Blue will have good length and have a sharp backend hook and works well in medium to heavy oil.

Question:
Do I take this out before or after my storm trend
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
You would take this out after the Trend. The Trend has a higher hook potential so it may be better in heavier oil while this would work better in medium.
