Columbia 300 – Power Torque Pearl
Doing a little catch-up but for those that have not invested in a new symmetric pearl, Columbia’s Power Torque Pearl should be one to look at when adding equipment to your arsenal.
The PT Pearl has the same consistent motion as it’s predecessor which was released last fall but with a stronger reaction at the down-lane breakpoint. The cover is made up of a sky blue ERT Pearl reactive which goes around the symmetric Torq core. The combination enables the operator to attack most typical house patterns as well as those sport or challenge patterns that do not have a heavy volume of conditioner.
Being a Senior player with a lower ball speed, the Power Torque Pearl is a necessity to include when traveling to events outside my league area. I have found the recovery from shots that are missed right to be better than anticipated.
Make sure you give the Power Torque Pearl a try.

Power Torq Pearl
This ball is a perfect go to when the original Power Torq starts running out of steam. You will see a noticeable change in direction down-lane compared to the original. I love the consistent clean motion through the fronts and now with the extra backend you get it seems this ball just goes through the pins much better as you open up the lane! If you like the Power Torq then you need to get this in your bag ASAP!!!!

Power Torq Pearl
The Power Torq Pearl is an AWESOME compliment to the very successful and user friendly Power Torq. The Power Torq Pearl is longer and stronger then the Power Torq Solid. This symmetrical pearl is a must have. Enjoy the High Performance in the upper to mid price range!!!!

Columbia 300 Power Torq Pearl: Great benchmark addition!
I drilled the Columbia 300 Power Torq Pearl 45 x 4.5" x 65 to be that smooth rolling pearl that I can use as a benchmark off of solids like the GB4. It fits this spot in my bag perfectly. I love this ball on the Mark Roth sport oil pattern, and the 41 ft. house shot pattern at a different center, both on HPL lane surface. It clears the fronts easier than the Power Torq Solid, but still rolls heavy and firm through the pins, without being as sensitive as the higher rg, lower diff. pearl balls can be. This is the perfect marriage of power and performance. Grab one today, you will be glad you did!

Nice to See a Power Torq Pearl!
I wrote a review for the Power Torq and thought it made a great benchmark ball. It is a bit rolly and I find that you either need a lot of hand in that ball or need to be very gentle with it at the bottom to let the ball do the work. I’ve had some success with the Power Torq and wanted to see what the Power Torq Pearl looked like.
Given its pearl coverstock, the ball does go a bit further and doesn’t have the same hitting power as the Damn Good Verge Pearl. That being said, if I’m bring two pearls to a tournament, this ball is a great compliment when the backends get fried and I don’t want the ball to overreact.
Think about how you want to build your arsenal. You are going to bring at least 1, if not 2, pearls. This makes a great second – not as aggressive but very predictable and reliable.

Same Great Motion, Stronger Backend
The Pearl version gives me the same consistent motion as the Power Torq with a noticeably stronger backend motion. This combination makes for a terrific downlane shape that will be the envy of all your bowling friends.
My first impression of the symmetrical Pearl is that it's very clean through the fronts (a Columbia 300 trademark). I was extremely excited to see the change of direction at the breakpoint as it does not slow down or bounce off the back of the pattern. Overall a very strong and predictable ball motion.

Smooth as silk!!!
The Power Torq Pearl is probably one of the smoothest balls I have ever drilled. It picks up in the midlane earlier than I expected from a Pearl coverstock. But it is very controllable at the breakpoint. Works great for me on your typical house shot when the backends are strong and I need a little more control. Great continuation through the pins even when I start to move into 3rd and 4th arrow. Definitely a great ball to have in your lineup.

Smooth Down and in Ball
Super impressed by this ball! If you like to play down and in, this is the ball for you. This ball has a very smooth downlane read and comes off the pattern very well. Was able to get away with pushing the ball out and it coming back nice and strong or pulling the ball a little bit and it holding. This is a must have for any level bowler!
