This bag does not mention the retaining ball straps but the bag has molded ball cups and a very tight fitting ball divider to help keep the balls in place during transport.

When you are not transporting the bag it is not meant to be left standing up. While you are transporting you can stand the bag up for short times but it is not recommended to keep any of the triple roller bags standing up for long periods of time. The bag is very stable with that being said.

Yes, this bag will have a lot of room for accessories. The top accessory pocket is the full length of the bag which would give you plenty of room for your shoes and any other accessories. Also, you get another accessory pocket on the side of the bag which also has a lot of room for smaller accessories too.

The platinum protection will cover for the first year but DV8 has a warranty will cover it an additional 4 more years after the platinum protection making it a full 5 year warranty.
