Don't Blast It, Erupt It
Columbia 300 – Eruption Pearl
Although a bit late, I felt that I needed to give this ball some time to be sure my eyes were not playing tricks on me. By that I mean, The Eruption Pearl is the first ball in sometime that I has performed so well right out of the box. For the first 3 weeks in league I was nearly +350 and was just amazed.
The Eruption Pearl gave me that mid-lane read that I had grown accustomed to in my early days but with just a little more kick. No doubt the REFLEX cover assisted by the outstanding symmetric RESURGENCE core put this ball squarely in the middle of my bag. The 65 x 4.75 x 35 layout provided a smooth and continuous look with that little extra move in the back.
Coming in a very nice dark blue/ purple color and already having a compound box finish, there was nothing else I needed to do but put holes in it and score. It is definitely a benchmark ball that will fit anyone’s game on any variety of typical house shot conditions.
Don’t let this one get away for sure. Blast your opponents off the lanes with the new Eruption Pearl

Eruption!
This ball filled a spot in my bags that I've been searching for! The eruption pearl is so clean through the heads but has that nice back end that you can count on every shot. It allows me to play the lanes much straighter to start but it also still has that nice pop on the back end as you have to creep inside. If you have a Power Torq in your bag (also a MUST have), I believe this to be a good go to coming off of using that ball!

ERUPTION IS BACK!!!!!
The Eruption is a symmetric pearl by Columbia 300. The Eruption is very clean through the fronts with strong but predicable back end motion. The Eruption is a great step down from my Power Torq. The Eruption appears to be very versatile regarding lane play and the continuation threw the pins is phenomenal. Visit your local Pro Shop Operator and get your Eruption Pearl.

Best Uses:
Medium/Light lane conditions

Great ball on the burn!!
Ball is an amazing transition ball! Start with whatever you have that's strong that has surface and once it becomes finicky go straight to the Eruption Pearl. Ball is real clean through the front of the lanes and very strong and continuous on the backend when the lanes break down. Ball works best for me middle-end of second game once the lanes get toasty. Ball is highly recommended to be in your bag!!

Impressive Performance
I was missing a piece in the lower tier of my current bag, I had the web pearl, melee midnight blue and the intel pearl SE for when they really get beat up. I drilled the eruption pearl with a 5 1/4 pin with a 2 3/4 pin buffer (around 40 degree VAL) and this ball truly fits that gap between the we pearl and melee blue for me. It is much cleaner in the midlane than the web pearl, but what I love about it is that it creates a more rounded and continuous motion rather than more of a skid flip/hook set reaction that can happen out of the middle tier to lower pearlized bowling balls. Definitely look to pick this one up for your league AND tournament bag. Get yours on 1/28/22!

Columbia 300 Eruption Pearl
The Columbia 300 Eruption fits into my arsenal very well. It is pretty darn strong for a mid price ball. It is stronger than my Radical Intel Pearl but weaker than my Hammer Web Pearl so it does slot right in the middle. Being a pearl cover it has easy length but is quite strong down lane. If you could call a pearl ball a benchmark ball, this would be my benchmark pearl.
Customer Questions & Answers | Reviews
Question:
Is the Colombia 300 eruption pearl an aggressive ball
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This bowling ball is considered a mid performance ball for medium oil conditions. On medium oil this will have a pretty strong hook but compared to other balls that are higher performance or designed for heavy oil this would not be considered as aggressive.
