Radical Crypto Boom Review (with video)
The Radical Crypto Boom is a pearl version of the original Crypto but enhanced with HK22 base additive. This gives the Crypto Boom a much cleaner look through the front part of the lane, and a big sweeping motion on the backend. I drilled mine 5 3/8” x 25 for length and snap, and that is exactly what I got. The Crypto Boom gives me about 1-2 boards more overall hook than the original Crypto Solid, but makes its move about 2-3 feet later, for a crisp shape that sends the pins flying. The Crypto Boom is amazing on both house shots and sport shots where you need the ball to clear the front part of the lane when those solids pick up too quickly. This ball is Special. The HK22 Cover wrapped around the original cover make the ball go BOOM when hitting the pins. The backend motion of this ball is big for a symmetrical pearl. First ball out of my back on house shots!

Crypto Boom!
Stats: PAP 4 over ¾ up, 15 mph, 18 tilt, 275 revs. I drilled mine 60x3.5x20. This ball is designed to get through the fronts with a sharper and more continuous backend compared to the original Crypto. For me, it is slightly less sharp than the Bigfoot hybrid, so it is a good step down for me if the Bigfoot is doing too much. I like this for game 2 to 3 (I bowl a 4 game league).

A go to piece
This ball clears the fronts and sees the kids really well. The HK22 cover stock gives you that pop off the pattern that we are all looking for. This ball will be great mid block.

This ball comes in very close to the Outer Limits Hybrid in terms of strength and lane conditions but it is a little later reaction and has slight less overall hook potential than the Outer Limits Hybrid possibly to bridge the gap between that and the Pink Urethane.
