Dexter - Hands Down a Great Shoe!
We all know that all houses as well as lanes are not created equal so it's great to be able to change your slide options in order to adjust to the various lane conditions or lack thereof. Did I mention how comfortable these shoes are? The fit, the construction and the look are all top notch and as far as I'm concerned worth the price.

Excelent product will never buy another brand of shoe
I recently bought the nines first pair of dexters i have owned since the 4's came out. Before i was using some cheeper shoes. I always said good shoes could make you a better bowler, well i proved that to myself last night when i bowled for the first time with my new shoes. The main thing for me was not the comfort or the looks of the nines but it was the stability and balance they gave me at the line. The shoes are very burable and were easy to break in took me about a half of game of practice a little easy slide and i was off and running. I consider myself to be a mid to long slider and was worried that the soles that came on the shoe wouldnt have enough for me, but they turned out to be perfect. I am happy to say that after purchasing these shoes i will not buy another cheeper pair of shoes again. Thanks Dexter for another great product and tthanks bowling.com for the excelent service.

Best Bowling Shoe Ever
I am a Dexter fan. This Time Dexter has out done itself. This is shoe is total comfort. It took a couple of games to break them in. I did change the sole to a #11. The shoe it self is well constructed. It is durable and it is total comfort. I am a twice a week league bowler and tournament bowler the shoe adapts to any lane condition. I do believe it has made my game better being so light on my feet. I wish they made this shoe in a street shoe. It is well worth the money. I would buy another pair in a heart beat. Way to go Dexter.

Great Shoe but not enough slide options
The 9 looks and feels great. The interchangeable toe system is great. I have replaced a handful of shoes because the toes wear out. Now with the toe guards on each sole, replacing the entire shoe is not needed. The shoes also breath much better then my 3Gs Tour Ultras.
The only issue I have is the options for the sole and heels that come with the shoes upon purchase. For the amount of money paid for the shoes I would expect them to come with 3 or 4 options each as my 3Gs did (at a lower cost i might add) or even my older set of Dexter SST6's. However I did understand before purchasing them that The 9s did not come with any extra soles or heels. In my mind the benefits of the shoes outweighed the lack of sole and heel options, but expect to pay for the shoes then an extra $60 to $120 for the correct heel and sole combination for you.

When you first put them on, the feel is great. I've worn Dexter Bowling shoes for years. These are the best pair that I've worn and used. Love the soles and the heel being interchangeable. Thank you Dexter for another Great product.

Outstanding Shoe
I've been a longtime Dexter customer and was very interested when I got wind of "The 9". Initially, I was a little put off by the shoe having only 1 #7 slide included. In the past I've felt more comfortable with a lower numbered slide that were included with prior shoes versions. Once additional slides became available on the marketplace, I pulled the trigger and bought "The 9" in the same size as my previous pair (8's). These turned out to be too small. Luckily, I bought the "Tru-fit" option and was immediately mailed out a new pair that was 1/2 size bigger. These shoes arrived and I bowled with them the first night! The shoes are outstanding! The #7 slide worked great.

Not Dexters best work .....
I was on the fence about purchasing these shoes at their price point . Eventually I give in so now not even half way thru winter leagues and I'm getting ready to purchase my third right sole because they just don't hold up on the toe section if you drag your toe some. My advice would be to purchase less expensive shoes if your footwork isn't perfect.

Question:
does the 9 come a 1/2 size larger like the sst8
4/7/2016 - By JerryHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
Great question Jerry! It looks like a customer left a review saying The 9's run a little smaller than the SST8. I would recommend buying the True Fit Guarantee just in case they do not fit. Hope this helps!

Hi Scott. The replacement soles for the shoe are specifically made for THE 9s. The cut to fit for SST 8s are for all SST model shoes, but they will not work for THE 9s.

Question:
i have dexter sst6. the problem i have is i drag my left foot (left handed bowler) so the sole pulls off and eventually the velcro doesn't stick. will the dexter the 9's help not peel off since they lock in?
4/7/2017 - By JBHave an answer to this question? https://www.bowling.com/products/dexter-max-powerstep-t3-.htm" />
Answer:
Hello JB. These should not peel back like the SST 6 model. The soles should not be in flush with the shoe once applied. If you have a problem with toe drag, we suggest using the Power Step to help out with that. If you click on the link that follows, it will direct you to the Power Step. https://www.bowling.com/products/dexter-max-powerstep-t3-.htm

Question:
I am a left hand bowler. Do I have to purchase the items to convert the shoes separately?
6/16/2017 - By RoyHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
The soles and heels are interchangeable. If they arrive set up for a right handed, you can switch the soles and heels to become a left handed bowler. The soles and heels are holding on there with really strong Velcroe and it also clips on the shoe.
