Balls with Same Hook Potential, Lane Conditions and Coverstock as the DV8 Verge:

DV8 Verge

The DV8 Verge takes your game to the edge and beyond. This ball uses the Threshold core which includes DynamiCore and DOT to offer great power and superb durability. This core is combined with the Inciter Solid Reactive coverstock which provides the traction required for a strong overall motion. The core and cover combination gives performance that lasts longer and provides more traction as it goes down the entire lane while still producing continuation.

Question:

My son has a pit bull will this ball be stronger for him.also controllable

11/10/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball is rated stronger than the original Pit Bull in over all hook potential. This has a dull finish out of the box to read the midlanes but it was not quite as dull as the Pit Bull so it will actually go just a little longer than the Pit Bull out of the box.

Question:

Is this similar to the black widow

1/18/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, this would be very similar in the overall performance. Both have solid coverstocks with a 2000 grit finish so they will have similar length. Both are rated to be upper mid performance bowling balls. The Widow may get a little more length due to the weight block but it is not much more length.

Question:

My wife is a back-up roller and looking for a ball for heavy oil use(she already has the DV8 Glam) Could this ball be drilled for a back-up ball on heavy oil?

2/9/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, you can have your local driller do a layout for a back up roller and this ball will be a good option for heavier conditions. The duller finish will help the ball grip earlier on the lane and gives it plenty of time to hook in longer oil patterns and heavier oil patterns.
