The DV8 Poison Pearl utilizes DV8's thick shell technology. The Toxin-SF Pearl cover on this ball allows for more overall backend reaction than the original Poison. The polished finish on this ball helps it to easily make its way through the front of the lane on medium to light oil.
Here is the continuity of last year Poison, the Poison Pearl. This ball uses the same core as last year but this time it's wrapped with Toxin SF. This combination provides more length of the lane. It comes with a 500, 1000 Siaair plus a Crown Factory Compound finish on it. This ball also offers the thick cover technology which provides 3.5 more cover compared to a normal ball for better durability.
Since the ball is designed for medium oil condition, I wanted to have something smoother off the spot to be able to use it on wet dry condition. I went with a 75 x 4 x 80 pin down layout.
I compared the ball with the DV8 Night Prowler and Poison. Compared to both ball I had to move 3 boards right with my feet and two with my eyes. The ball was much cleaner through the front but the ball had a slower response to the friction.
This ball is designed to fit better in medium oil condition but if you are a speed dominant, you can use a little pad to scratch the surface and the ball will react sooner instead of going to long. It will offers you a stronger but smoother reaction.
To conclude, if you are looking for a medium oil ball and want to have the advantage of having a thick cover, this ball is for you.

Do you have 15# 3-4 pin9/6/2020 - By Josh
We are not able to check the pin placement before an order is placed unfortunately. You may request the pin placement you want when placing the order and we will try to find a match. If we have a ball that matches your specs, we can ship it out. If not, we will call you before shipping to go over the specs we have and you may decide how to proceed at that time.9/8/2020 - By Bowling.Com Staff
I’m looking for a bowling ball and decided between the Dv8 poison pearl and the Brunswick fearless. What are the difference between the bowling balls in terms of how they preform on a house shot lane10/20/2020 - By Gabriel
They would both work well in a typical house shot but the DV8 Poison Pearl has a weight block that is designed for more length and a sharper harder backend while the Fearless weight block will start to read a little earlier and smoother on the backend. Because the Fearless can start to read a little earlier it is more suited in medium oil. The DV8 Poison Pearl can work from medium down into some lighter oil conditions because it can skid through even light oil conditions.10/21/2020 - By Bowling.Com Staff
