The DV8 Prowler bowling ball was made to prey on some pins. This ball uses the Divergent core which includes DynamiCore and DOT to offer great power and superb durability. This core is combined with the N-Forcer Plus coverstock which gives length and bite. The core and cover combination glides through the front of the lane and reacts on the backend on medium to heavy lane conditions.
DV8 Prowler on the other hand is just the same of the newly added upgrades but is made for medium oil and has the Pearl coverstock (N-Forcer Plus coverstock that is on the Hitman Enforcer) with the new Divergent core. This arsenal is a favorite of mine in league play and get excited using this ball every chance I get. I compare this ball to DV8's (original) Hitman, which was also a favorite of mine, and Brunswick's (original) Tenacity. This ball goes long through the fronts and the wildest, almost unbeatable backend my eyes have ever witnessed. This is a very faithful ball in my DV8 line and all the new features of DOT and Dynamicore makes it fun to bowl each week on the lanes.
I have the Crux Prime but like the DV8 nightmares might be the same level. What are the main differences. Also what DV8 would fit as a step down?3/2/2019 - By R J
If I get a 14 or 13 pound prowler will it react any different from the 15 and 16 pound?8/27/2019 - By T
The 14, 15, and 16lb balls have the same weight block. If you drop down to 13lbs then the weight block changes to account for the overall change in weight for the ball. There will be some minor changes throughout the weights but they are not very noticeable between 14-16lbs. The difference between a 13lb and 14lb is a little more noticeable because the weight blocks change at that point.8/28/2019 - By Bowling.Com Staff
