Balls with Same Hook Potential, Lane Conditions and Coverstock as the DV8 Prowler:

DV8 Prowler

The DV8 Prowler bowling ball was made to prey on some pins. This ball uses the Divergent core which includes DynamiCore and DOT to offer great power and superb durability. This core is combined with the N-Forcer Plus coverstock which gives length and bite. Question:

I have the Crux Prime but like the DV8 nightmares might be the same level. What are the main differences. Also what DV8 would fit as a step down?

Answer:

The Nightmares will be more aggressive than the DV8 Prowler. The DV8 Prowler would actually be a step down from the Nightmares.

Question:

If I get a 14 or 13 pound prowler will it react any different from the 15 and 16 pound?

8/27/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The 14, 15, and 16lb balls have the same weight block. If you drop down to 13lbs then the weight block changes to account for the overall change in weight for the ball. There will be some minor changes throughout the weights but they are not very noticeable between 14-16lbs. The difference between a 13lb and 14lb is a little more noticeable because the weight blocks change at that point.

Question:

How does this ball compare to the Roto Grip idol pearl.

12/22/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

They are going to be very comparable. Both have similar pearl coverstocks and both are upper mid performance balls for medium to heavy oil. It may just come down to brand preference.
