Balls with Same Hook Potential, Lane Conditions and Coverstock as the Motiv Forge Flare:

Motiv Forge Flare

Motiv is bringing the heat with the high-performance Forge Flame solid reactive bowling ball. This ball matches well on medium to heavy oil conditions as it provides awesome traction in the front of the lane while also maintaining down lane reaction. The Coercion MXC (MaXimum Continuation) solid reactive coverstock gives this ball the ability to easily shape in higher volumes of oil. The continuation this ball provides is impressive due to the cover being so strong. Pairing this amazing cover technology with the Detonator core results in a fast-revving, strong, as well as a continuous roll with huge track flare potential. These results are due to the low RG and high differential found in this symmetrical core.

Question:

What difference can I see between the Fire and Flare

10/29/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Flare will react earlier on the lane because it has solid cover with a duller finish compared to the hybrid cover on the Fire. Both are high performance and both can handle heavier oil conditions.

Question:

How does this compare to Rotogrip hyper CEll

12/26/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The coverstocks on both balls were similar and both have a 2000 grit finish to help the ball grip in the midlane and have a smoother hook but the weight block on the Forge Flare will help it read a little earlier and a little stronger than the Hyper Cell weight block which would give a little more lenght.

Question:

I’m about to punch some holes in my primal rage remix is this ball in anyway shape or form similar to the flare

4/15/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Motiv has a chart that breaks down their bowling balls in performance based on the Length, Backend, and Overall Hook Potential. The Forge Flare has Length: 12, Backend: 16, and Overall: 60. The Primal Rage Remix has Length: 15, Backend: 17.5, and Overall: 55. So the Primal Rage reacts more on the backend but because it goes longer it does not have as much overall hook as the Forge Flare which reads earlier and more of an arcing hook.
