Motiv is bringing the heat with the high-performance Forge Flame solid reactive bowling ball. This ball matches well on medium to heavy oil conditions as it provides awesome traction in the front of the lane while also maintaining down lane reaction. The Coercion MXC (MaXimum Continuation) solid reactive coverstock gives this ball the ability to easily shape in higher volumes of oil. The continuation this ball provides is impressive due to the cover being so strong. Pairing this amazing cover technology with the Detonator core results in a fast-revving, strong, as well as a continuous roll with huge track flare potential. These results are due to the low RG and high differential found in this symmetrical core.
Great in medium to heavy oil. Great backend.
Not good in light oil patterns.
Game 1 & 2. Until oil breaks down.
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Bought this ball as a replacement to an old Ebonite ball. Looking for a ball good in heavy oil and backend to compliment a “stroker” style. Definitely found it. Added 15 pins to my average in just two weeks!
The layout I used on the Forge Flare is 60x5 ¼ x65. I have never thrown a stronger symmetrical ball in my life! This ball will win plenty of tournaments. I was already able to find success with this ball, winning a Black Friday 10 game marathon tournament in Georgia. For how early this ball reads the pattern, you can find great continuation through the back part of the lane and through the pins. Most balls, when this early tend to struggle to continue on the back, the Forge Flare does not. When comparing the Forge Flare to other bowling balls, I would have to say the closest thing to it is an Alpha Jackal. Both balls for me see the midlane in about the same area, however where the Alpha Jackal tends to want to go forward, the Forge Flare will continue downlane. To me, this is truly the most unique bowling ball made by Motiv to date. Drew CrainMotiv Staff

The Forge Flare is the STRONGEST ball I have ever thrown. I love this ball it can handle heavy oil like it doesn't exist. It never stops hooking throughout the entire lane and still saves it's energy for the pins. You need to get this one there has never been one like it. MOTIV showed off with ball I'm ready to see the next one.ThanksNick DoggetteMOTIV staff

What difference can I see between the Fire and Flare
The Flare will react earlier on the lane because it has solid cover with a duller finish compared to the hybrid cover on the Fire. Both are high performance and both can handle heavier oil conditions.
How does this compare to Rotogrip hyper CEll
The coverstocks on both balls were similar and both have a 2000 grit finish to help the ball grip in the midlane and have a smoother hook but the weight block on the Forge Flare will help it read a little earlier and a little stronger than the Hyper Cell weight block which would give a little more lenght.
I’m about to punch some holes in my primal rage remix is this ball in anyway shape or form similar to the flare
Motiv has a chart that breaks down their bowling balls in performance based on the Length, Backend, and Overall Hook Potential. The Forge Flare has Length: 12, Backend: 16, and Overall: 60. The Primal Rage Remix has Length: 15, Backend: 17.5, and Overall: 55. So the Primal Rage reacts more on the backend but because it goes longer it does not have as much overall hook as the Forge Flare which reads earlier and more of an arcing hook.
What is its hook rating, on the scale ?
Motiv lists their bowling balls with three ratings. They have length, backend, and hook potential. This ball shows 12 Length, 16 backend, and 60 hook.
Due to the time it takes to produce the Motiv Forge Flare ball it will ship in immediately. We cannot ship this ball outside the United States.
