DV8 Wicked Collision

The DV8 Wicked Collision bowling ball is the latest powerhouse in the renowned Collision line, potentially the best-performing line DV8 has ever created. This ball features a potent combination of core and cover that delivers some of the strongest motions on the market, with the Wicked Collision being even stronger and more angular than its predecessors. The key to this release is the innovative cover. The Cohesion additive, now making its debut in the DV8 line, enhances the top-performing coverstock base, providing unparalleled performance. DV8 has also included Havoc additives, which have significantly contributed to the success of the Collision line. The resulting cover, known as HK22C – Havoc Solid, makes the Wicked Collision one of the most aggressive hooking shiny balls available. Don't miss out on this game-changing ball!

Ball is surprisingly clean through the fronts for a solid. Gives you a big motion on the back , and continues through the pins.

Wicked Collision a first ball out of the ball

The Wicked Collision is easily one of my favorite balls this year. It has the proven collision core wrapped around the havoc solid with the HK-22. Put all that together and you get a strong solid that doesn’t have any early hook that is super strong. I drilled mine 55x4.5x65. The prefix pin down ball and first ball out of my bag.

A Ball That Flat Out Hooks!

DV8’s Collision line has possibly been the best line of DV8 balls ever. The Brutal Collision was the first DV8 ball featuring HK22. The Violent Collision redefined backend ball motion by offering a pearl version of HK22 called Havoc Pearl for easier length and a stronger backend. The new Wicked Collision which has the same proven core, but now DV8 has added the new Cohesion additive called HK22C – Havoc Solid, in my opinion makes this ball UNBELIEVEABLY STRONGER than the previous Collision balls, and possibly the strongest ball I have in my bag. I chose to drill The Wicked Collision with a 40x3x30 layout, which allows this ball to have more midlane continuous roll making it ideal for oilier lane conditions. For me, I also adjusted the surface and removed the compound from the ball to allow me to see more ball shape in the mids, while retaining its energy down lane. If you are a fan of the Brutal Collision and the Violent Collision, get ready to have your mind blown with the Wicked Collision. It goes without saying that this ball WILL BE the first ball out of your bag. Remember, if you are not throwing DV8, you’re just not bowling!!!

Pros:

Length

Cons:

Heavier oil

Best Uses:

Wet/dry conditions

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Good length, with downlane motion

This ball definitely grew on me. I liked the length out of the box but I made a slight adjustment to the cover with 800,2000. It’s been better ever since! Compared to the Brutal Collision, the Wicked is a bit sharper downlane with more length.

Pros:

Very Strong seeing friction

Cons:

Nothing to say bad about

Best Uses:

When, you need more backend motion

Bottom Line:

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Wicked Collision

This is Perfectly named. Compared to previous Collisions, this one really turns the corner, even tho it is polished. It has HK22C (C stands for Cohesion) which is also in the Hammer Effect.

Question:

Is there much difference between the xlr8 & the wicked collision

Answer:

There are a lot of similarities between these two bowling balls. Both are high performance, solid reactive coverstocks, and 1500 grit finish. The weight block on the Wicked Collision will read a little earlier to give it a smoother reaction but I would still say they are very comparable to each other.
