Motiv Forge
Motiv boasts that the Forge is their strongest symmetrical bowling ball to date. This ball introduces the Detonator weight block and combines it with the Coercion HFS coverstock to offer control with huge hook potential. This ball is ideal for medium-heavy oil conditions where it displays a smooth motion as well as outstanding power and continuation. The Detonator core has a low RG and a high differential that help generate revs easily along with a lot of flare. This ball uses Motiv's outer core material called Reverb helps with massive pin hitting power. Motiv's Coercion HFS coverstock creates traction even when facing heavy oil conditions, as well as a smooth reaction to friction, and superb continuation. The coverstock is finished with a 3000 Grit LSS pad to assist in this motion.

MOTIV FORGE
Being a huge fan of the Revolt series I was so incredibly happy when this piece was announced. I have to say that I was not disappointed but also quite impressed with how strong this ball is out of the box. I am not one to play with surface initially but like to see what I get and adjust accordingly. This ball is a monster out of the box so my advice is see what you get initially!!! Im pretty sure your gonna love it!

Great ball room for improvement
Overall great ball, works well in medium oil. However, I notice that when there is more oil on the lanes it tends to come in flat. Initially thought it was me causing it but after working with my coach he told me my form and placement was good.

Question:
How would you compare the Columbia tyrant to the motiv forge
12/18/2018 - By SteveHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Tyrant is meant for heavy oil only and is a solid coverstock whereas the Forge is meant for medium-heavy oil and is also a solid coverstock. They are both high performance balls, one is just meant for heavy oil and the other is meant for medium-heavy.

Question:
Will the motiv forge come in flat when there is more oil on the lanes
8/22/2019 - By SteveHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
No, this ball will give you a great reaction when there is heavier oil on the lanes. It would only come in flat if you throw this in really lighter conditions because it would roll out too early. It needs medium to heavier oil on the lanes to work best.

Question:
What is the difference between the motiv forge and the motiv forge fire
9/12/2019 - By SteveHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
The difference can be best explained by looking at the Motiv scale for the performance. The numbers for the Forge are Length: 13, Backend: 16, Hook: 58. The numbers for the Forge Fire are Length: 16, Backend: 17.5, Hook: 56. So the Forge Fire will go longer but The Forge is a little stronger overall.

Question:
How does this compare to the motiv t-10
11/22/2019 - By LeeHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
They both had the 3000 Grit finish so they would each react with similar length but the Forge is a stronger hooking ball and that makes the Forge work more in medium to heavy oil while the T10 was more suited for medium only.
