Balls with Same Hook Potential, Lane Conditions and Coverstock as the 900Global Ordnance C4:

900Global Ordnance C4

The Ordnance C4 hybrid reactive mid-performance bowling ball features the Shrapnel 2.0 core combined with the S70 Hybrid coverstock which is equal parts solid and pearl. The coverstock is finished with a 4000 grit Abralon pad which provides a clean reaction down the front of the lane. The pearl and solid combination also generates ideal length and backend when facing medium oil conditions. The Shrapnel 2.0 is a wider version of the original Shrapnel core. This change increased the RG while keeping the differential low.

Question:

How is this similar to the IQ tour edition?

6/16/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

They are going to be pretty close in over all performance actually. The Ordnance is on the higher side of a mid performance ball while the IQ Tour is on the lower side of an upper mid performance. Both balls have a 4000 grit finish out of the box so they will ready pretty similar lengths with a the Ordnance maybe going a little longer because it has a hybrid cover versus the solid cover on the IQ Tour. This will help the IQ Tour to handle just a little more oil but a lot of the other features are very similar so they are going to be very comparable.

Question:

How is this compare to the melee jab blood red?

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There are a few key differences between these two options. The Ordnance C4 is a mid performance ball designed for medium oil while the Melee Jab Blood Red is an upper mid performance ball for medium to heavy oil. Also the Ordnance C4 has a hybrid cover and 4000 grit finish which will read the lanes a little earlier and have a smoother hook than the Melee Jab Blood Red which had a pearl cover and polished finish.

Question:

How does this ball compare to the 900 Global Compass? I love the S70 hybrid cover stock, and want a ball that has a lot of length and late breakpoint.

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

I am having trouble finding details for a Compass but this ball will have decent length. The 4000 grit finish reads a little earlier than if this was polished and a hybrid cover will read earlier than a pearl cover so if you are looking for more length you may prefer a polished finish and/or a pearl coverstock.
