Roto Grip Gremlin Tour-X
Roto Grip Gremlin Tour-X
The Roto Grip Gremlin TOUR-X delivers professional-grade control for competitive bowlers who need precision when lane conditions get demanding. When the original Gremlin becomes too aggressive, the TOUR-X steps in with a smoother, more predictable motion that blends transitions without sacrificing continuation or hitting power.
At its core is the Rondure TOUR-X Core, a refined evolution of the original Rondure design. By lowering both the RG and differential through precise mass adjustments, Roto Grip created a more stable, centered engine that produces a controlled medium-flare motion. The result is a confident midlane read and a smooth, continuous arc that keeps the ball online and in play when accuracy matters most.
The V-R1 Hybrid Reactive coverstock pairs strong midlane traction with controlled backend response using a balanced blend of solid and pearl materials. Finished at 4000 Abralon, the cover smooths out overreaction on friction while retaining enough energy to drive through the pins. Its nano-free formulation remains highly tunable, making surface adjustments easy for a wide range of conditions.
Built for bowlers who value control over chaos, the Gremlin TOUR-X blends wet and dry effortlessly and delivers a reliable tour-shaped motion that holds up through transition. It is the Gremlin you trust when precision, consistency, and confidence are the difference between striking and guessing.

Great Transition Piece
On my Gremlin Tour-X I went with something a little different as far as layout. I went 5 1/2 x 3 x 3. My intention was to keep the ball clean and stable and continuous so when I encounter super chopped up lanes and transition, I can count on this ball to not overreact off of anything it sees. I will say mission accomplished. If you are looking for that type of motion, consider a similar layout. I can see the similarities to the Ion Pro Hybrid that people are mentioning. Not only the colors, but the shape downlane is very similar as well. It does not get forward and lock up due to the reduced flare potential in the core. As a starter ball, it's a little too clean for my liking. If I'm a little hot on my speed, it'll go through it and end up way behind the headpin. This ball likes a little friction on the lanes to start in the right place and be most effective. Having said that, your results may be different with a stronger layout, mine is on the weak side. Overall a great transition ball for me and something that keeps me out of trouble when they get weird.
