Storm Super Son!Q

The Storm Super Son!Q features the Centripetal HD Core which is the offspring of the original Centripetal Core. The core family has provided one of the most dominant shapes in the Storm line of bowling balls. The Centripetal HD Core is denser than any other Storm core so far. This density produces an RG of 2.47 which creates a very low center of gravity which allows this ball to hit the pins at just the right spot to maximize pin carry. To top off this core Storm covered this ball with the proven NRG Hybrid Reactive coverstock and is finished with a 3000 grit Abralon sanding.

Question:

how will this compare to the strom crux prime and physix?

2/18/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Since the Super Sonic is an Upper Mid Performance ball, and the other two are High Performance balls, the Crux Prime and PhysiX will be more aggressive.

Question:

I currently am using a GB3 hybrid. How does this compare to that hybrid? Im looking for something that grabs a little better in heavier oil.

3/14/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This ball has very similar features to the GB3 Hybrid and they are both designed for medium to heavy oil. While this ball is an upper mid performance and the GB3 was a mid performance, the GB3 was duller out of the box so while the Super Son!Q was a stronger cover, it has a slightly smoother finish so you may not notice a big jump up in performance with this. You may prefer the Roto Grip Idol Hammer Web to give you a little stronger grip on heavier oil.

Question:

Can this be used for a dry lane ball? Or would it react differently?

4/15/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This would not be a good dry lane ball unfortunately. It is much to aggressive for dry lanes and it would cause the ball to read too early and roll out making it not carry through or hit well. It also would be hard to get the pocket because it would hook to strong on dry.

Question:

How will the super soniq compare to the Black widow pink?

6/23/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Black Widow Pink is a pearl coverstock and the Super Soniq is a hybrid coverstock. The Super Soniq will read a bit earlier.

Question:

I am looking for a change of pace ball and currently throw the Timeless. Would this be a good complement?

7/9/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This does have a different reaction because it has a duller finish than the Timeless. This would help this ball to react earlier on the lanes for a smoother reaction while the Timeless had more length and more angular hook. They are rated for the same lane conditions so if you were wanting to have a choice of one ball or the other depending on how you needed the ball to read that day, this would be a good option but you would not really need to use both of these balls together.

Question:

I’m throwing a 14 lb STORM C FACTOR DEUCE 2 at around 16 miles per hr ! I am now at a different bowling alley with a 35 Ft heavy oil pattern ! What 14 pound ball would be best on that pattern ! My ball is not breaking except at the last 6 foot & only about a 2 foot hook !

8/28/2019 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Storm Super SonIQ is a good option for medium to heavier oil and because this is a newer ball it will have more advances that have been made that help this ball hook better than the older Storm C Factor Deuce 2. Also, over time bowling balls can loose some of their hook so the C Factor may not be able to handle heavier oil at times and that is where your newer ball could make a big difference. This would be a great option to check out and it will read earlier and smoother on the lanes even when you have that fresh heavy oil.
