Track Kinetic Obsidian

Track continues the popular Kinetic series in the Track Kinetic Obsidian. This ball features the modified Kinetic core which has a low RG, medium differential, and low mass bias. These components allow this ball to save its energy longer but use it quicker. Track has combined this core with a solid version of the DR-7 coverstock which gives length with a strong reaction at the backend. With a 500/2000 grit finish this ball is recommended for medium to heavy oil patterns. This mid performance ball with a mid performance price and an asymmetric core is hard to beat.

Does what it says

185 average with 14.5 mph medium revs. Only bowl once a week. Think I'm better than that but average don't lie.
Bought a 15 lb. Average is creeping up to 194 after 5 weeks. Seems like I'm leaving less splits even on poor shots. I fully plan to be a 200 house bowler with this ball. Great value.
Just bowled a 625 tonight that felt like a 550. Ball must be helping me score, no joke.

The New Track Obsidian for me is a strong rolling ball.

Nothing but good things to say about this one. Track has done it again with a med price ball with the great consistency and hitting power it gives.

Good Midland read with a nice continuous roll downlane

I had surgery on right arm and started bowling left handed shortly after to stay bowling. I have the Track MX10 that I was using which is a Pearl and needed something a bit smoother since I am not repeating shots. So I went with a sikid to help. The Kinetic Obsidian fit the bill!

Question:

What core does the 12 pound and lighter kinetic obsidion balls use is it effective in creating the same angular hook as the 14-16 pound balls do?

9/2/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The 12lb ball has a generic core and the specs would be RG - 2.60 and the RG Diff 0.039 so as you go down in weight the weight block will read longer and have less flare potential. It has the same coverstock so you get the same performance there from all weights.

10/10/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

No, unfortunately the weight block changes in the 12-13lbs and it is a symmetric weight block.
