Balls with Same Hook Potential, Lane Conditions and Coverstock as the 900Global Altered Reality:

900Global Altered Reality

The 900Global Altered Reality carries on the success of the original Reality as a big asymmetric that doesn't act like one. This high-performance ball has the same unique shape but is best used on medium to heavy oil. The Altered Reality uses the S84 Response Pearl Coverstock that helps to store energy for the pins. The Disturbance Asymmetric Core is an asymmetric, compact core. This core and cover combination produces a mind-altering backend reaction.

Question:

Will be a big enough difference to keep this and Dark Code in the bag?

Answer:

Both bowling balls are going to be very similar with the Dark Code being slightly stronger on the backend. I would not think there would be a big reason to have both options unless you needed something just slightly weaker than the Dark Code to transition to but you would have to transition again no longer after using this ball to something else when the lanes get more medium oil.

Answer:

I am not sure there would be a big enough difference to justify both. You would need something for medium and medium to lighter oil conditions but both of these are essentially good in heavier oil and both have similar reactions on the lanes with the Dark Code being just slightly stronger hook potential but not a big difference.

Question:

I throw a proton physix is the altered reality different enough to warrant having botb

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Altered Reality will read much later on the lanes and have a sharper backend and this will help it work down into medium oil better than the Proton Physix.

Question:

I have a hyper fused by roto grip I’m trying too find something too compare that too. I heard this ball is it. I’m a high rev playing and loves the middle of the lane around board 15 and 10. Can I play kinda straight with this ball.

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

This is pretty close to the Hyper Fused but this may have a slightly different read. This has a pearl coverstock which may give you a little more length than the hybrid cover on the Hyper Fused. A closer comparison to the Hyper Fused may be the UFO Alert.
