Hello Karen. The dimensions for this roller are 11.25"x15"x30.25" with handle down, and 41.25" when handle extended.

how are balls supported in this bag

There are molded ball cups at the base of the bag where the balls sit down into the cup. Also, there are dividers between the balls so they do not hit each other in travel. They design the bag to fit 3 balls but the fit is tight so the balls do not have a lot of room to move around.
