Brunswick U-Motion
The Brunswick U-Motion Solid Urethane mid-performance ball endured lots of testing because Brunswick knows the importance of a urethane ball. The U-Motion core has a higher RG and lower differential that produces great urethane ball motion. This ball generates a consistent and predictable urethane ball motions on various lane conditions but excels on lower volumes of oil and shorter patterns.

Best compliment to the Purple Hammer out there!!!!!!!!!
This ball is the perfect compliment to the Purple Hammer. I really shouldn't need to say anything else. Where the Purple Hammer has a tendency to go a little too long before seeing the friction, the U-Motion picks up. It's a staple in my bag with the Purple. If you're looking for a urethane ball but this one. You will not be disappointed

The U Motion is the modern urethane reaction I have been waiting for from Brunswick. It gives me some extra down lane motion I have not seen out of previous urethane balls. The U Motion allows me to open my angles and still get the corner pins out. Compared to the True Motion it is a few feet later and has 3 more boards of hook on the backend. This one saw some use already on a shorter tournament pattern playing the gutter and will definitely see more in the future. If your looking for urethane control with just a bit more backend pop check out the U Motion.

A Must Own Urethane
I for one had issues rolling any urethane ball, but this one changed that.
The U-Motion has a strong controllable motion through the front part of the lane without loosing energy
Hits the pins hard and drives continues to drive thru the pin deck
Can be used on many conditions without giving up reaction.

Amazing Urethane Ball
I was really excited to throw the U-Motion and compare it to a few other Hammer/EBI balls that I have thrown in the past. The U-Motion really continues throughout the lane and really blends out the friction of over/under flatter lane patterns or wet/dry house shot patterns. Very impressed with the hard hitting power that it provides thru the pins. I do see that you need friction for this ball to really shine... For me, I see the U-Motion a little earlier in the fronts & mid-lanes yet still continues in the backends compared to my trusty Purple Hammer. I have adjusted the surface of the U-Motion and found that 3000 surface is perfect for what I have used and offers a great compliment to my Purple Hammer and Brunswick Phantom. The U-Motion would be a great ball for the heavier handed bowlers and for those needing a ball to blend out the flatter tournament lane patterns. Great addition to your arsenal. Get yours today!

Finally, A Urethane Ball I Can Use
I don't get a lot of opportunities to throw urethane equipment, in part, because of my rev rate and speed. However, the U-Motion is a very different urethane ball than I have thrown in the past.
What I really like about the U-Motion is a much stronger motion through the front part of the lane and that it retains enough energy for me on the backend. If you are looking for a new urethane ball, this is definitely one to consider.

Brunswick U-Motion
Here is my take on the new U-Motion by Brunswick. The U-Motion is a solid urethane ball finished at 1000 Siaair. The ball has the U-Motion Core and is Deep Dark Purple in color and comes with a 2 year warranty.
My "vitals" are a 403 rev rate with a PAP of 5 9/16 over and 1/8 over. I have thrown the ball at box surface and at 4000 Abralon. I have thrown the ball mostly on house patterns.
My sense is this ball will be best suited for very wet/dry patterns as well as shorter sport patterns. As with most urethane balls, control is the best way to describe the motion of the U-Motion. At 4000 Abralon, I felt the U-Motion went too long and was very sensitive to any carrydown in the pattern. At box surface, the U-Motion reacted much better. Compared to a Purple Urethane Hammer, the U-Motion, in my opinion, shows a little milder motion. That being said, where urethane ball is the preferred means of attacking the pattern, the U-Motion will not disappoint.

Consistent, Predictable Motion!
The U-Motion by Brunswick is a urethane must for your arsenal. The core features a higher RG and lower DIFF for excellent urethane ball motion. The U-Motion has a hook rating of 35 out of 100. This means it provides a consistent predictable ball motion that is most successful on shorter patterns and/or lighter volumes of oil.

Control
This ball gives me a very predictable and smooth motion to the pocket. For me, its best used on shorter patterns for the most part and also can be used to for extreme wet/dry conditions. Comparing this to the True Motion, the biggest difference for me is the stronger motion it has and also the hitting power. Definitely recommend this ball if you're looking for control and predictability.

This ball is AMAZING!!!!!
This ball is probably the best urethane ball I have ever thrown. The ball carries like reactive and hits like a truck! If you have wanted to try urethane or in need of a new one for tournaments, do yourself a favor and try the U Motion! A lot of people you on;y throw urethane in tournaments, but this ball I think would be great for league bowlers too! Especially for those dry houses lol

Question:
What's the difference between True motion and this U-motion
2/14/2020 - By BowlmanHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
The cover is slightly different but the biggest difference is the weight block. The U-Motion has a higher RG to help give you a little more length while the True Motion was a little earlier and actually a little stronger reaction over all. While both of these are not going to be a big hook the True Motion would be slightly stronger.

Question:
How much flare
2/20/2020 - By BobHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
In 15lbs this ball has the RG Diff rated at 0.020. This will tell you the flare potential. The higher this number, the more flare potential the weight block gives. Also, Brunswick has their own rating system and this is rated at a 35 on their scale.

Question:
How does this compare to the Storm Pitch Black?
3/3/2020 - By RyanHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
They will be very comparable. They both have a similar Solid Urethane coverstock at 1000 grit out of the box. Also the weight blocks are very similar also so you should see a very similar reaction.
