Radioactive Vibe

Hammer Radioactive Vibe is your must have for short or medium house patterns and short patterns on sport/challenge. This ball has great shelf appeal but even better performance on the lanes! Out of all the Vibes, this is by far my favorite! Great at clearing the fronts, reading the midlanes and strong backend motion.

Radioactve Vibe

First off the color just pops! When you’re throwing it everyone knows what it is. Hk22…need i say more! This vibe really makes a strong motion on the back. It will definitely respond once it sees the friction! I really like going to this ball once the lanes open up. This ball won’t disappoint.

It's Radioactive!!

It's not just another Vibe, it's the Radioactive Vibe! Bright color with the HK22 additive makes this one standout, on the lanes and on the shelf!
The biggest difference I see on this Vibe than others, the strong backend motion it makes.
The Radioactive Vibe will be suitable on many types of conditions.
Check this one out!!

Hammer Radioactive Vibe

Just the color of this ball had me excited try the new Vibe. To say it's bright is an understatement. It looks really different and cool on the lane. I've very much liked some of the previous Vibes and to be fair I've done better with Solids than Pearls in this series. Then the addition of HK22 just made it that much more appealing. I wasn't disappointed. First game out of box was in a tournament and it was 278. It was followed 3 games later by a 279. This ball does have compound so it gets down lane easily and the HK22 in the cover stock likes to grab friction so there is a good amount of left turn to this bad boy. I believe this is the best Vibe yet.

Hammer Radioactive Vibe

Whenever Hammer releases a Vibe, I am a happy person! Starting back in 2005 when Hammer first released the original Purple Vibe (won my 1st NEBA with a Purple in Brockton in 2005), the Vibe has always been a mainstay in my arsenal. From the Purple, the Cherries, the Blues, Orange, Onyx, Jet Black, Ocean and the list goes on, there has yet to be a Vibe made that I didn't like. For whatever reason, the Vibe core, like the Gas Mask cores, just seem to match up so well for my game. So, when I saw the new Radioactive Vibe in Fluorescent Yellow announced, I was very eager to drill them ASAP. The new Radioactive Vibe has the usual Vibe symmetrical core with an updated CT Reactive Max cover (HK-22 base). In the first one I drilled, I used my favorite pin down layout- 60 x 5 x 70 and went over the ball with a 4000 Siaair pad. I have tried the new Radioactive Vibe on THS and PBA Scorpion.

The new Radioactive Vibe has the expected, predictable motion that has made Vibes successful. One thing I've always noticed about Vibes is that they are very predictable...rarely will they do anything crazy or unexpected which is why I love them. The Radioactive Vibe glides easily through the front and at the 4000 Siaair surface, reads well down the lane. The motion is fairly quick downlane and continuous. I think it is a little slower in its response, but more overall compared to a similarly drilled Ocean Vibe which was very angular. That being said, I think I am going to go over the ball with a 3000 Siaair pad to get it started a little sooner and be a bit more blended. I will be drilling another one with a stronger pin placement and pin up to create a different shape. Over the years, I have found that Vibes are very versatile in that they work for many styles of bowlers, rev rates, speeds etc. I expect the Radioactive Vibe to be no different!

The Radioactive Vibe is currently available- see your local pro shop for more information!

eye catcher

this ball catches people attention with this bright radio active color. very impressed on how this bowling ball rolls. smooth down lane and through the fronts. perfect if you want to ball down to move into that sweet spot, it still retains a lot of energy to slam that pocket.

Question:

How does this compare to the hammer scorpion

8/18/2023 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

On the Hammer FCC rating the Vibe is FCC Rating: Total-20.5, Finish-7.75, Core-6.5, Cover-6.25 and the Scorpion is FCC Rating: Total- 25.25, Finish- 8.75, Core- 7, Cover- 9.5. So the Vibe is going to have a lower hook potential and the features of the Vibe make it work better in medium to lighter oil while the Scorpion works more in medium to heavier oil.

Question:

I am looking at the yellow Hammer Radioactive vibe. I like the color. Question is that I am a beginner bowler and bowl straight without a hook. Will this ball work for me?

5/20/2024 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Vibe is a mid performance bowling ball so there are features that help this ball have hook potential. If you throw the ball straight without any rotation the ball will still go pretty much straight but you could get a lower priced option that also just goes straight.
