The Hammer Web Tour Edition Hybrid gives a strong mid-lane reaction with continuous backend by combining the TourV1 Hybrid coverstock with a modified Spheroid TE core. The TourV1 coverstock has been researched, tested, and tweaked to develop the most forgiving coverstock that Hammer has offered to date. The original Spheroid core has been modified to have less flare and more control. This ball pairs best with medium oil conditions.
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Just when I thought the Web Tour was the most versatile ball on the market and it couldn’t be outdone, along comes the Web Tour Hybrid. The Hybrid gives me the same versatility of the web tour but adds a little more movement down lane to make that turn when the lanes start to get tricky. This ball is truly something special and will be that ball that you can pull out of the bag to keep you in play no matter what pattern you are on.
The Web Tour Edition Hybrid is exactly what you think! It is just as good as the original Web Tour Solid! This ball gives you slightly more length than the original Web Tour Solid and same continuous motion on the backend! This ball is very versatile and you can change the surface on it to use it to your advantage! Definitely a good ball to have on your medium oil patterns or your THS shot patterns!
Versatile, keeps you out of trouble, predictable
medium patterns, wet/dry, burnt patterns
First off, the Web Tour solid was my favorite ball out of every ball I own. So, I was excited to hear Hammer was coming out with a hybrid version. Yes, the Web TE Hybrid is just as good as the original. The hybrid version gives me a little more length and the same continuous/round motion off the pattern. Another versatile ball that will see plenty of action. Hammer did not disappoint!
smooth arc, controllable motion
Medium to dry conditions
Hammer’s Web and Web Tour have been two of the most popular balls on tour and in league. It’s the kind of ball that is smooth, predictable, and versatile across many conditions. It’s no surprise that they put a Hybrid cover on it and it creates that perfect blend when a solid is too much and a pearl cover isn’t strong enough. Personally, I like hybrid covers a lot and will move to them pretty quickly when my solids seem to be burning up and I find myself leaving a lot of corners. This is one of those balls where you see yourself going to after a game or two, or perhaps, starting off the night with because you love this ball so much. Given a RG of 2.47 and a DIFF of 0.030 (15 lbs.), this ball smooths out the lane and will give you a shape that isn’t going to overreact, jump, and give you that recovery and motion down lane you’ll like. I’ve never been disappointed with this ball.
This ball has a little more down lane movement than the original Web Tour, compliments to the hybrid coverstock. I still got that smooth roll you get from the original Web Tour, with a little extra kick on the back. I decided to do a little less flaring layout on this ball due to the flying outsides on our house pattern and it was still plenty of controlled hook.
The newly released Hammer Web Tour Edition Hybrid is an experience in itself. I drilled mine 50x4x40 and its great through the front reads the midlane and hits hard through the pins. A wonderful benchmark ball and extremely great on sport shot condition friendly.
This is my favorite Web to date. It's 1500 grit out of box surface helps the ball to start in the midlane, and the sunroom core going on this piece generates a continuous motion. It is a ball that outside a lot of power without being overly strong. I can use this on almost any volume, and it fills so many roles in my tournament bag. I could see many players having a full arsenal for any condition with just a few of these in the bag!

Everything you loved in the original Web Tour but on steroids! This ball is pure money and saying that it is extremely versatile and predictable wouldn't be doing it justice. I was able to bowl 8 games across 8 pairs and was able to stay in this ball all day. Minor adjustments only because the ball simply does the heavy lifting for you and keeps you out of trouble. Normally I would say get one of these now, but instead...go order a case!
Control, Hitting Power, Predictability
The Web Tour Hybrid is a very controllable benchmark type ball for medium to lighter conditions. It is the smoothest rolling ball in my bag and is playable as long as there is some friction present. This one makes quick work of the wet/dry house shot situation we have in league. I am able to use more rotation and softer speed than with many of the balls I typically throw. I will be drilling a second one soon to compliment this one with an earlier breakpoint. Dependable, controllable, hard hitting describe the Web Tour Hybrid well. If you are looking for that benchmark ball for use on the friction this is your Hammer.
I laid this ball out to mirror the Web Pearl I have with the same layout. My hope was to get a earlier read with the Web Tour Hybrid. Exactly what I got out of it. Bravo Hammer for making this game changer. This ball is very even and hits like a truck sending pins everywhere. I see about 3 boards more hook out of the ball and have more room in the mids thanks to the cover and finish compared to the pearl.
I was very excited about this release. The Web Tour was a personal favorite of mine, so I drilled this ball the same way. I used a 40 x 5 x 45 layout, which put the pin in my ring finger. The Web Tour Hybrid does not disappoint! It gives me the similar benchmark type motion, but it is a little stronger and more continuous down lane. Since it has the same low dif core, that for me makes the ball smooth to transition, I have been able to use this ball on all of my local house conditions and also on medium/shorter sport shots. You can watch this ball go down lane on YouTube at Tamer Bowling.
Great benchmark ball
THS, medium patterns
The Web Tour Hybrid made me smile right out of the box. I saw the smooth reaction that the original Web Tour gave yet much better. I threw it on 46' Johnny Petraglia pattern mostly during the practice round and was extremely pleased. I hit the cover to give it a few more teeth and loved the way it played when the pattern was broken down toward the end of the practice. I can see this piece being the first ball out of my bag on house shots and for medium length and volume patterns. I can't wait to throw it on 44' Billy Hardwick pattern in a couple weeks in Lebanon, Oregon. Get yours today!!
Use on most anything
I didn't like the original web tour, but this baby, I will take all around the world with me! It's something about those hybrids! It gives me more length and very consistent back end motion through the pins. Best used on med oil. Also, a great benchmark ball!
This ball is easily the best benchmark ball out on the market today. Its the first ball out of my bag and on most nights the only ball out of my bag. Being on the left side of the lane and having an above average rev rate, more often than not I am forced to play lines where the weaker balls struggle to make the turn off the end of the pattern and the stronger balls are too much off the pattern. The Web Tour for me is Exactly what I need to blend out the league patterns I Bowl on without sacrificing pin carry. If you are looking for that all purpose bowling ball that you can use on pretty much any condition, Do not hesitate to get to your local pro shop and pick up the Web Tour Hybrid and remember "Nothing Hits Like a Hammer"
All around versatility
I was able to compare the original Hammer Web Tour & the new Web Tour Hybrid side by side and BoB did a great job. They have created virtually the same shape with the hybrid being a slight bit longer down the lane, thus a few boards right with my feet. It still has that very smooth rounded shape with good continuation thru the pins. Should be one of the first balls out on fresh patterns to control the pocket. Really nice add to the Hammer line.
Great tournament ball
Here is my take on the new Web Tour Hybrid by Hammer. The Web Tour Hybrid features the symmetrical Spheroid T/E core wrapped by a Black/Blue Tour v1 Hybrid cover. Box surface is 1500 Siaair. My "vitals" are a 405 rev rate with a PAP of 5 9/16 over and 1/8 up. I have drilled a Web Tour Hybridg with a 50 x 5 ¾ x 40 layout. I have thrown this ball at box surface on fresh PBA Aulby pattern, Kegel Tungsten and THS.The original Web Tour was a favorite of mine for shorter sport patterns. I already drilled 2 Radical Bonuses recently with stronger layouts (similar low RG/low diff core but in a solid) so I was planning on using a weaker layout for this release as a "go to" ball after using the Bonuses. However, I found that the Web Tour Hybrid was able to handle easily the higher volume/medium distance of the fresh PBA Aulby pattern on its own as long as angles were kept closed. Notwithstanding the core/cover combination, the Web Tour Hybrid plenty of predictable motion and continuation. I saw similar results on the Kegel Tungsten which is also a 39 foot pattern as well as the THS. As each of the patterns began to break down, again notwithstanding the core/cover combination as well as the weaker layout, I was able to move a little left and circle the Web Tour Hybrid. That is what I think separates the Web Tour Hybrid from the original Web Tour. The original Web Tour was fantastic on fresh short patterns but I found that ball to labor a bit when I had to go more left to right. I did not see that issue with the Web Tour Hybrid. Thus, I see this ball being in play on many different volumes, depending on surface preparation in the medium to shorter pattern distance range. This will be a great tournament ball for those who compete on more demanding patterns where predictability and control of the midlane is key. See your local proshop for more information about the Hammer Web Tour Hybrid.
In all honesty, I was hoping this ball would be like the Web Tour. The Web Tour was just like an IQ for me and I loved that because the ball had a great ability to skate through the lane if I pulled the ball and still would strike. This new Web Tour Hybrid while it was not like a Web Tour for me, I actually think it is better lol. This ball has an amazing ability to come back from everywhere. This thing digs in and hooks. Great pick up in the midlane and it has great continuation through out. If you miss outside it will come back from there. The cover is amazing. I have had a few 300's with this ball on Sport Patterns and it is a keeper. I am only giving 4 out of 5 stars because I was expecting it to be more like the Web Tour, overall this ball hooks more than the Web Tour and is a better ball imo
