Motiv Hydra
The Motiv Hydra bowling ball is designed for high friction house shots and rev heavy bowlers as well as tournament players who need a performance ball for drier lane conditions. The beast of a bowling ball can strike from deep in the lane as well as generate more entry angles. This is all accomplished through the combination of clean and angular Hexion LFP Reactive coverstock and the high RG/low differential Halogen core. This pairing produces easy length with head turning backend motion. The 5000 Grit LSP finish on the Hydra helps it read the lane more effectively and produces better predictability on the backend.

Question:
I use the venom Shock pearl now. Pin above fingers and bridge. On medium lanes this ball hooks way to much. Polished it and created a little more length but still hooks way too much. Will the Hydra drilled with same layout give me the length I’m looking for? I’m wanting to play outside of 8 board little swing or straight down up the boards.

How does the Hydra compare to the Shadow Ops by 900 Global on light to medium oil lane conditions?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
They will both be pretty similar on the reaction. The only difference will be the finish on the bowling balls. The Hydra will have more length than the Shadow Ops.

will this be much different than the primal rage ?

This ball is going to be more suited for lighter oil conditions. The Primal Rage is better in medium and heavier oil and would be more aggressive than this ball.

Question:
would this ball work for a straight bowler
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This ball is designed to have a medium hook potential on lighter oil conditions. If you throw this ball straight then it will go straight but if you spin the ball any then it will want to hook on the lanes some. You can get a less expensive straight ball if you wanted the ball to just go straight. Look in the spare ball category to get the best price straight ball options.

Question:
Is the Hydra good for medium to dry lanes ?

Question:
About 10 miles per hours is a good ball for me
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
This ball is designed to go long on the lanes which would be good if you have a lower ball speed. This would work well for you in lighter oil and possibly some medium oil conditions due to your speed.

Question:
How much for the ball with no holes and shipping?
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
There are several factors that could come into play for your final total actually. We would need to know your shipping address to confirm the final total. Some states have taxes so we would have to confirm this. Also, this ball could have different sales going at different times so the price could change from day to day so it depends on when you come to place your order. Question:
My buddy(68 yrs) needs new ball. Ball speed slow aNd low revs.
Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Hydra is designed to read later on the lanes so it would be a good option for someone with a slower ball speed. It is rated for lighter oil so if you bowl in mostly lighter oil this could be a decent option. If you see medium or heavier oil then you may need to bump up to something a little stronger that can work in those conditions.
