I bought this from a friend Had it plugged and redrilled. Have bowled 9 games so far and the low game was 205. Hits strong. I'm a down and in senior player with about a 13.5 to 14.4 ball speed. Ball sets up and stays there. Plenty of carry..swishalishis all night long.

A great ball
Have improved my average going from a 163 to a 175 and every week I am doing better and better. I love this ball. It is very forgiving when you miss your mark a bit right and it really hits hard. I have 5 other balls but this has become my favorite and go to ball.

One of my Best!
I fell in love with the !Q series when I shot my first legit 300 game with the !Q Tour. With the Emerald, my average has gone up 22 pins. I love the reaction on Medium to dry lanes. But I have to keep my speed consistent.

Pros:
very consistent in a variety of conditions

I love this ball, very consistent and my average is up 22
I got this ball on the recommendation of a teammate. I am what I refer to as a tweener, I don't crank the ball, but I don't throw it straight either. In all conditions, except very heavy oil, I can count on a consistent hook into the pocket.

Question:
What is the difference between the idol pearl and the iq emerald?
9/5/2019 - By Papa JonHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
The weight blocks seem to be the biggest difference. The Idol Pearl has a stronger weight block and it can handle a little more oil because of the weight block making the ball stronger. The Emerald is more designed for medium oil.

Question:
What's the difference between this ball and super soniq? is it just that the coverstocks are different?
12/5/2019 - By AnthonyHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
The coverstock and finish are different and this can make a lot of difference. The Super Son!Q is designed to read earlier on the lanes and can also handle heavier oil better while the Emerald is designed to go longer with a more angular backend and it works well in medium oil.

Question:
Would this act like a roto grip shatter ball
12/16/2019 - By MikeHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
The IQ Tour Emerald would actually go down the lane a little further but has a stronger backend hook than the Shatter. This also makes the IQ handle medium oil mostly while the Shatter was originally for medium to lighter oil.

Question:
What is the difference in performance, if any, between the Emerald and the IQ Tour?
1/2/2020 - By Mike S.Have an answer to this question?
Answer:
The Emerald is a pearl coverstock with a polished finish to go longer on the lanes and have a sharp backend hook while the IQ Tour has a 4000 grit sanded finish to help it read a little earlier on the lane for a smoother reaction.

Question:
What is the difference between the tour fusion and the tour emerald?
2/7/2020 - By AndyHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
The only difference is the coverstock. The cover on the Fusion was a R2S Hybrid and the cover on the Emerald is an R2S Pearl. The Emerald will go a little longer on the lane but the Fusion will be a little stronger over all and this makes the Fusion more suited for medium - heavy oil while the Emerald is better for medium only.

Question:
What the difference between the Storm Astrophysix and this balling ball
4/30/2020 - By BCHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
They both have the same coverstock and same finish but the Astrophysix will be stronger because it has a stronger asymmetric weight block while the IQ Tour Emerald has a weaker symmetric weight block.

Question:
Can I used this bowling ball after my phase 3
5/27/2020 - By BCHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
This would be very similar to the Phaze 3 and only be just slightly less hook potential so you may could use this after the Phaze 3 but it would not be long before you had to switch again to something less aggressive.

Question:
What would you recommend. For heavy oil and being a lefty?
6/6/2020 - By PatHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
The IQ Tour Emerald would be more suited for medium oil but if you wanted something for heavier oil you could try the Omega Crux or the AstroPhysix which are also pearl coverstocks to give you good length but still enough to work in heavier oil.

Question:
How does the storm !Q tour emerald compare with the brunswick fearless, are they that similar
10/14/2020 - By Me.NobodyHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
This will be a close comparison actually. Both have good length with a decent backend hook. Both are upper mid performance options designed for medium oil conditions also.

Question:
Would this be a good ball for a senior changing from a conventional grip to a finger tip grip
10/28/2020 - By DocHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
Most proshops would recommend finger tip drilling on any performance ball. This ball does have good length so if changing to the finger tip grip slows down your ball speed, this could be a good option to break later on the lanes.

Question:
Is this ball good if I have low rev rates?
12/13/2020 - By SunnyHave an answer to this question?
Answer:
If you have a high ball speed and low revs then you would not want this ball. It is designed to read later on the lanes so low revs and high ball speed will not give the ball much time to react. However, if you have an average to lower ball speed this could work fine. It is rated for medium oil but with lower revs you could use this down into some lighter oil conditions also.
