Balls with Same Hook Potential, Lane Conditions and Coverstock as the Storm Fast Pitch Solid Urethane:

Storm Fast Pitch Solid Urethane

The Storm Fast Pitch is another addition to the already successful line of Pitch bowling balls in the Storm line up. The Fast Pitch introduces the Controll XL Solid Urethan coverstock and wraps it around the Tour Block weight block. This ball has a higher RG along with a medium differential that gets the ball to read the lane right where you need it to. This versatile bowling ball is a perfect mix of early read and entry angle when facing those drier and shorter lane conditions.

Question:

How does this compare to the Storm Pitch Black and Storm Pitch Purple?

8/28/2020 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The pitch black hooks less then this. The pitch purple hooks more than this . They use the iq core on the inside of this ball. So it fits right in the middle of the pitch black and pitch purple

Question:

My question pitch black drilled pin below the fingers drill a fast pitch same way will I have more hitting power so maybe carry will be better ?

3/21/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Fast Pitch does have a little more flare potential and also a little more length than the Pitch Black so this could help give you a little better angle and continuation to carry better.

Question:

would i notice much difference in angle of entry and pin carry between the fast pitch and pitch black ?

4/6/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

There will not be a huge difference between the length on the Fast Pitch and Pitch Black. They are both designed to have a smoother reaction but the Fast Pitch will have a little more length so this could give it slightly more entry angle.

Question:

Will it work for a 2 hander

4/11/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, this ball would work for a two handed bowler. Typically a 2 handed bowler would have a higher rev rate so you may use this in more medium conditions.

Question:

I'm 63 years old and my average speed is about 11.5. Our lanes are very dry on the outside and oily inside. I can't swing it out and command it like I use to. Do you think a Fast Pitch or Pitch Black would be good for me?

5/2/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Because the Pitch line is a urethane line it will help if you feel like the reactive coverstock balls are too aggressive for what you bowl in. With a slower ball speed you may prefer the Fast Pitch because it does give you a little more length but both options would be a good reaction if you find yourself playing outside in the drier parts of the lane it they should not over react on you.

Question:

Hello. I start on 32, throw over 15 and have high revs. Normal ball is Reign or High Road but when lanes break down I only have an old Hot Rod that I have to speed through. Will the fast pitch or pitch black or pitch purple work best for me?

7/18/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

The Fast Pitch may be the better option in this case because it has the best length out of the Pitch line up and that can help since you have a higher rev rate so it does not roll out too early. But the urethane ball will have a smoother reaction and a more tame hook potential so that it will work better in those drier conditions than a reactive ball.

Question:

Would this ball be good for regular house patterns with being dry-medium. Also I’m a medium rev and medium ball speed player.

10/7/2021 - By

Have an answer to this question?

Answer:

Yes, this could be a good option in those lighter oil conditions. This ball is not designed to have a high hook potential but gives you a very smooth and easy to read reaction. If you want something that has a more calm hook this is a good fit but if you wanted something with a bigger hook potential you may check for something with a reactive coverstock instead.
